Khan Vs Mayweather
Its a long shout depending on Khan winning his next 2 fights and Mayweather not going to prison. But nice to see Golden boy have a long term plan for Mr.Khan

Yes but murder is inexcusable!
Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
Let's not count our chickens a little early. I think we should wait and see how Khan does against Maidana and then the winner of Bradley/Alexander before we start worrying about Mayweather (even that may be jumping the gun slightly as many expect Maidana to KO Khan). Khan has the tools to cause all sorts of problems for Floyd but first we need to see if his punch resistance really has improved like his team have been telling us. Amir's next few fights should clear that up.

Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
Mayweather would stop him with ease.
Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
It would make for a dreadful fight. If it happened I fear neither would seek to be the aggressor and Vegas would well and truly be stunk out!
Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
The Hatton and Mosley performances highlighted that Floyd is almost "unbeatable". What he showed in those fights was the ability to outstrength one of the strongest 140 lbs around and got survival instincts when hurt up there with the very greatest of all times. I've always maintained that, if by a MIRACLE, Khan did develop muscles on his chin he might stand a chance - but sorry, Khan even with a chin has no chance. After that Mosley fight I don't see any fighter from 140-154lbs standing a chance against Floyd.
Unless Floyd gets old. Lets hope he does fight on, and I don't think we should even moan about who he fights - yes, we all want Pacquiao - but lets just admire his skills. He is a once in a lifetime type of fighter.
He must have had such an off night against DLH. He hasn't looked close to losing before or since.

Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
I will always wonder what might have happened if Floyd dragged his 'massive' frame down to 140lbs to fight a very confident Hatton.
Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
Same result sorry. Hatton was an is naturally bigger than Floyd.Dioufy wrote:I will always wonder what might have happened if Floyd dragged his 'massive' frame down to 140lbs to fight a very confident Hatton.
Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
But Hatton's two shows at 147lbs resulted in bad performances. Surely it's possible that if Hatton got Floyd down to 140lbs, then maybe he could've imposed his strength and natural size advantage to a higher quality. I'm not saying he would, I'm just saying maybe.stujones wrote:Same result sorry. Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
No maybes. Floyd wanted the fight at 140 about 2 years before it happened at 147. Hatton was the one who rejected the fight back then saying he needed "3 warm up fight". Floyd beats him in any division.. too good in every department. It's about LEVELS.Dioufy wrote:But Hatton's two shows at 147lbs resulted in bad performances. Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
But again, that's conjecture. Hatton was a better fighter 2 years after Mayweather asked him to fight. Let me also nip this in the bud before it gets out of control. I still think Floyd would've dominated him at 140lbs, but I am open to the fact that things may have went different for Hatton.goldbird wrote:No maybes. Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
I don't think his performance vs Mayweather was bad. For me he gave Floyd the third hardest fight of his career. The only two who gave him harder fights were Castillo (when Floyd's hand had gone) and Oscar. I think given that Floyd was the naturally smaller man, surely it would follow the principle that the higher the weight, the more it would suit Ricky.
I think Collazo is a very underated fighter who is a big Welter - that was the problem for Ricky. Fighting big Welters would always be a problem, bulked up Light Welter's shouldn't be (unless they are as skilled as Floyd).

Anyways, Mayweather is way too good for Khan.

IF and a very big IF khan gets through the next 2 fights... Mayweather won't be fighting. he'll be retired. He only has Pacman to fight & its not gonna happen! where does Mayweather go from now?

Re: Khan Vs Mayweather
Good call
Williams is a great fighter; confident, slick, powerful.....very good boxer
I'd love to see that fight, for me he is the biggest test Floyd could have, arguably the biggest of his career.
Pacquiao or Williams would be the best names on his resume IMO, they're both bang in form, no excuses....they're not old, weight drained, faded, chinny etc etc

Stu, I thought the Mosley fight showed that PBF is beatable. We got to see Floyd wobbled, but also let off the hook by an old man gassing as early as the 2nd/3rd.stujones wrote:The Hatton and Mosley performances highlighted that Floyd is almost "unbeatable". Anyway, PBF to stop Khan.
Can only see Pacman and Williams potentially beating Floyd.

Let's not forget that Oscar was once a very good fighter in his own right. A fantastic chin, very good handspeed, and more than decent power in either hand.stujones wrote:The Hatton and Mosley performances highlighted that Floyd is almost "unbeatable".
