Chisora Klitschko ON!!!!!!!
Go on DEL BOY
Re: Chisora Klitschko ON!!!!!!!
x2 but it's an utter mismatch and won't go past 2.sg1985 wrote:Fair play to the lad for taking it, I hope he chins him.
Re: Chisora Klitschko ON!!!!!!!
Any links? I'm suspicious. Which Klitschko? I'm assuming Wlad?
If it is true, it is far too soon for Chisora. Good on him for having the minerals to take it but he is only 26 and given a few more years could be a force to be reckoned with, I fear he will be ruined by being thrown in with a huge heavy hitter like a Klitschko.

Re: Chisora Klitschko ON!!!!!!!
Can't argue with him for taking it, should be fun build up and then he will get crushed in the fight.

Is it spelt Derek or Dereck?

Klitschko's Manager: Chisora Fight is Still Being Negotiated
Contrary to certain reports in the British press, Bernd Boente, manager of IBF/IBO/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49KOs), denied to BS.com that an agreement had been reached for a fight with unbeaten British champion Derek Chisora (14-0, 9KOs). Boente told BS that "nothing had been signed," and the two sides were still negotiating a potential deal. If K2 reaches an agreement with Chisora's promoter allegedly, the fight is going to take place on December 11 in Germany.

Amazing. Never even fought more than nine rounds and he lands a fight with a Klitschko. Here's hoping for the upset of the century. Go on Chisora

Re: Chisora Klitschko ON!!!!!!!
All credit to Chisora and F Warren. Haye has been talking about this match for ages, all sorts of excuses why it hasnt happened, F Warren makes the match in 5 mins and Chisora takes it. Are you watching, Haye?

Re: Chisora Klitschko ON!!!!!!!
From "Plonker" to world heavyweight title challenger, that is the potential and quite remarkable transition of Finchley’s Derek "Del Boy" Chisora as negotiations for a crack at Wladimir Klitschko currently take place.
Chisora, the current British and Commonwealth heavyweight champion, earned his mooted shot with an impressive nine-round stoppage of Norwich’s Sam Sexton last month in Birmingham to take his record to an unblemished record to 14-0 (9), and history tells us that 34-year-old Wladimir, the IBF and WBO heavyweight king, is a busy champion who enjoys 'cleaning up' the division, so this match is no pipe dream.
Yes, Chisora will go in as the massive underdog but that just means he has nothing to lose, and a good performance, even in defeat, would propel the talented, 26-year-old Londoner into the upper echelons of the world heavyweight ranks.
The former ABA champion behaved himself in and out of the ring against Sexton, after a series of unsavoury incidents previously, one of which earned Chisora a short ban from the sport, and his maturity must have impressed F rank Warren, celebrating 30 years as a promoter in December, and Mr Warren got on the phone to the likeable Klitschko and could be celebrating in style.
The big fight is planned for December in Germany.

Re: Chisora Klitschko ON!!!!!!!
Don't you think Chisora would command a slightly lower purse than Haye? Or do you think a household name WBA champion should accept the same terms as a 14-0 domestic champ who is barely known by the general public?McCannW14 wrote:All credit to Chisora and F Warren. Re: Chisora Klitschko ON!!!!!!!
Good one to take the missus to the Christmas markets as well! Would they hold it in a football stadium though in December?
Can’t wait to see Chisora come out to the theme tune of 'Only fools and horses' in front of 40,000 bemused Germans.

problem is 6' 4+ heavyweights are usually immobile, slow, cannot use their reach and are generally rubbishfunso banjo baby wrote:bizarre stuff

Credit to Chisora for taking the fight, now the other British fighters should get behind him. Get Price, Dallas and Fury in there sparring with him. If some how he does manage to win you know the other Klitschko brother will come looking for revenge. It is concivable that not just one but all heavyweight titles could be in Britain within 12 months. Hmm there is an unusual smell for this tobacco.

He's got to just go for it. If he waits he gets beat down like all the others. He needs to go out put pressure on him, try and force a mistake and jump all over him. Possibility- 20% Probability- 1%

Re: Chisora Klitschko ON!!!!!!!
Apparently Chisora was the second choice opponent. The first? James Toney, but the IBF and WBO refused to sanction it. Wlad wasn't happy with it either, but that was the fight his German TV paymasters, RTL, wanted. Chisora took Sexton's ranking when he beat him and so K2 went after him. Fight's not signed yet but contracts are being drawn up. Mannheim has been mentioned as the likely venue.

Anyway with regard to the topic in hand, what a coup for Warren/Chisora! Okay, Del-boy will not be getting Haye style money but he will get an almighty mortgage paying bonanza for taking part in a title fight everybody expects him to get flattened in. Ironically he can't lose - great pay day, experience and an opportunity to deliver the upset of the century all rolled into one. Even if he gets blasted out, he can simply regroup and continue along the route he was previously treading.

If he takes this fight then this really is signalling a new direction for Frank. Maybe he's realised the error of his ways...
