Haye-Harrison will be first ever fight shown in 3D

Sky Sports have officially confirmed that the WBA world heavyweight title showdown between David Haye and Audley Harrison on Saturday, November 13, will be the world's first ever boxing match televised live in 3D.

Fight fans purchasing the clash on Sky Box Office are set to witness a 'three-dimensional beating', claims champion Haye..

“This is great news for British boxing fans, but terrible news for Audley Harrison,” said Haye, 24-1 (22 KO) in his professional career.

“This fight is going to be a three-dimensional beating of a one-dimensional challenger,” warned Haye. “In addition to the 3D glasses, fight fans ordering this bout should be given a sick bag and an inhaler. They won't just be watching a beat-down on screen, they'll now be able to feel every punch, thanks to the beauty of 3D.

This could be the future of boxing on television, have always thought the way boxing was filmed was rather flat and boring and nothing like how it is live so will be cool to see if this works or not.

Great idea to put it in 3D, only thing is very few people have 3D tv's yet - do we know what time the fight we be? If it will be at a UK-friendly time then will be good to watch it in one of the pubs that show 3D football already. On the other hand...if it's on at 3am then we're a bit stuck.

This should not be a problem. Unless they're going to show Harrison's usual post-fight litany of complaints in 3D as well.

3D is s**t. The only film i've enjoyed in 3D is Avatar and this is with cinema technology which is better than what you'll get at home.
