No trash talk, he should do it the opposite to Haye. He will walk away with many new fans, and nobody will be able to kick him while he's down.

To beat up one of his London "brothers" so badly in what will be a celebratory carnival style atmosphere at the end in front of 60,000 people in Germany and than for Wladimir to ask Haye to step up if he has the courage.....will be a HUGE statement.

I have a feeling that if the Haye-Harrison fight hadnt been done, Harrison may have been chosen by Klitchko for the same reason.
This is EXACTLY how I read it

Still wish for a better opponenet though

Chisora is going to come forward and bob and weave and try to nail Wlad. He will not come in with the mentality of a loser. He will bullrush Wlad and try to get his shots off inside. He has a decent chin and with the bob and weave style plus the aggression, it makes for chisora having a decent chance of winning by KO. Wlad is going to be in a fight here. chisora will know that he can't win the fight from the outside and will be working his way in and throwing leather. I think he will catch Wlad and KO him.

Del Boy has not proved himself to be a concussive puncher yet, i suggest he has an 'unbeaten fighters chance' against klitschko, thats all.

a chirosa victory is very very unlikely....but we can all, at times, have a bad day at the office....... :box:

I believe the he values himself 50-50 but I think he bases it on more than the belts, he's a big name right now and is being talked about, I think he's just cashing in on that. It's like a footballer signing his last BIG contract, they become more demanding and specific than they may otherwise have been. What he makes off this fight should be the payday that sets him up for life, and fights with the likes of Audley keep the pot topped up in the meantime.

Exactly. :TU:

It goes to show he really does have the fighters mentality that alot of guys in the division seem to be lacking - Haye and Povetkin for clear examples

Manny Steward hit the nail on the head in this weeks BN. How guys nowadays are too scared to take their chance at fighting for a world title when offered it ... something that was almost unheard of in past times...

Del Boy will start the under-dog for sure. But bigger upsets have happened. And if the pundits are correct - and it turns into a one-sided contest. I`m sure there will be good enough people in the corner to save Chisora for a later day and just come away with the experience and the nice big pay day..

If he comes back well after losing this fight it will show he has a good fighter's mentality. But, taking this fight at this time is probably the sensible financial decision, as if he lost his next fight to somone like Fury then the chance of cashing in will be gone, so I don't think taking this fight is particularly brave.

yep.

good luck to him if he gets the shot.

don't begrudge him.

how he's even got a high enough ranking by a sanctioning body is a joke.

mind u they have zero credibility left these days anyway.

now thats how you organise a fight haye not run your glass chin off and when its nearly time for it to get shattered you pull out with a foney back injury mr "ive said im gonna do this and done it" and "ive said id do that and ive done it" you said you would knock both klitschko's out so if you beleive this and truelly want to then the money wouldnt be a factor because you said you are gonna knock both out so it would be easy money right?

everything Chisora can do, Wlad has seen a thousand times before and probably a good deal better with it in most cases.

The fact that Wladimir is chasing the likes of Chisora for a fight shows Haye is perfectly justified in asking for a suitable paycheque and no options.

the difference is david haye is a genuine world class fighter. a heavyweight world champion and former undisputed cruiserweight champion. he has very good reason to take an even split of the pot which he is determined to do. which is why it's been so difficult to negotiate the deal

derek chisora is probably going to pick up a tenth of what wlad gets and he'll be happy with it. derek will just be extatic to be getting the shot and it will still be his biggest payday.

and wlad know this will get plenty attention over here because of the on going carry on with haye. plus he knows it'll be rubbing salt in the wounds of david haye. hayes fighting a nobody, meanwhile another lesser brittish fighter is getting the big fight he should be fighting.

Braver than Haye as far as I see ...

And there are quite a few here who still bleat on how Haye is not scared to fight either K-brother.

Although highly unlikely we could have Audley Harrison and Derek Chisora as world champs by the end of the year!!

I wonder what odds you'd of got on that in Janurary??

Chisora is not ready for a title shot, he should wait and fight a few top heavyweights, like Chambers or Adamek to test himself at that level.

Because the Klitchskos are a level again above that. :TU:

This is a bad move by Chisora. :shame:

That is just it, there are not top heavyweights. Chambers is not very good (Peter tried more against Wlad the other week), Adamek is popular because of all the Poles in NJ but just had life or death with an ancient Michael Grant.
