Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
so what next for foster?
no doubt he wants burns and that's an attractive match if the promoters can get their heads together.
but realistically, what's next, what's likely?

Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
I want to see a fight with Burns. I hope it can be arranged.
The Super Featherweight scene is quite dead on the European and world level - so I was thinking about this, and really only Burns I could think of as a really attractive match up.
Sure if fighters can boil back down to the weight then there might be some interesting nights. Derry Matthews beat up a lethargic Foster a few years ago - there might be some intrigue in that one, but I feel Derry has 1) Outgrown the weight and 2) Needs some confidence boosters first, the other options could be (as with Burns) matches with Arthur and Mitchell.
Was thinking about Burns though.... I don't think anyone mentioned Burns vs Choi as a possible match up. Isn't Choi still connected with Al?

Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
is Al FW?
read in boxing news last year, he said that whoever wants him is welcome to him! (in a nicer way.) i think spencer fearson snapped him up?
On Foster's side he is reliable and he put up a great show vs Arthur.
Against that, Foster is with Hatton, and if matchups like Burns v Zegan are on the cards then maybe no one cares about good matchups - just yet.

Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
Choi is going prizefighter super feather so is Gary buckland!
Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
sounds like an effing excellent prize fighter.
choi and buckland could be made for good prize fighter form.
good opportunity for choi, as it seems few promoters want him.

Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
Who else could go in it? Prizefighter a good opportunity shame more don't take the risk of entering. There many heavy prospects that should have entered!
Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
Lawton and ohara are possibilities!
Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview

can't be arsed to watch skelton and sprott walking through mud. god, i hope these 2 don't fight each other again.

Nov 20! I going Saturday it's always good entertainment and it's only 35quid tickets.
Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
No, Stu - he has been with Spencer Fearon of late. I was asked to do a bit on Choi recently and will get round to it - have been ill, then busy, then away...Choi is criminally overlooked.stujones wrote: Isn't Choi still connected with Al?

Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
The obvious conclusion to draw is that the EBU are against him, too. If they hadn't sanctioned this fight, none of this would have happened.Counter-puncher wrote:
oh, that's right, spud. it is literally all about you.
Nigeltsport in a subtle and dastardly plot, posted a Foster interview, not to share with boxing fans, or to celebrate an excellent victory for Foster, but to serve as a sltalking-horse to do you down somehow. the villain!
Re: Steve Foster junior - New European champion - interview
I was over the moon with the foster fight he did what other British fighters failed miserably to do. I was 100% certain he would do it I've trained with jnr and he is the fittest strongest fighter I've ever seen!!!
I know I'm gonna be a little biased cos he's a mate but i honestly don't think anyone of the fighters mentioned on this post could touch him. I just think he's got that something extra. Hopefully he gets the fights he deserves and all the waiting and being let down will pay off.
He's got a great team round him and his dad isn't someone who's gonna let him slack off so I don't think we've quite seen the best of foster jnr yet!!!
