Anthony Crolla produced an excellent performance. However, technically I do not think he has improved that much - where as his conditioning has improved massively - surely that comes down to the excellent advice given by Kerry Kayes rather than Joe Gallagher ?
spud some of your posts on here are absolute crap, how do you no his conditioning has come down to kerry, joe has alot to offer when it comes to conditioning his fighters, crolla has improved loads it shown last night when he took a very good boxer apart, he was punch perfect he was sharp and acurate with a better varity of punches now than he has ever had.
spud knows his stuff believe me as for joe gallagher having a lot to offer when it comes to conditioning a fighter how do you explain joe murray weighing in 4 pound overweight and then being stripped of his british title
Spud Knows his stuff what has he done in boxing apart from pull smigga to bits intrested pal :TU: :TU: :TU:

regardless -right now joe is getting the results with his fighters. must be doing something right. his fighters have had some emphatic title wins in the past year or so, and 3 in the past 3 or 4 weeks.

agreed some good wins in the last couple of months but daniel h was bigging joe up for the way he conditions his fighters if bringing your fighter way over the weight limit in a british title defence is whats required then joe's your man :shame:

They were late to the scales because john was in the steam room most of the day trying to get the weight off and thats the real reason why they were late no other reason :shame:

you seem to have it in for the man. around that time some of the best lightweights in the world came over the weight, and much more over the weight than murray.

guzman, nate campbell, and so on.

we've seen murray and crolla in long, hard fights. their technical skills looked solid and they fought at a hard pace.

You have asked why he did'nt skip it off but at the same time you knew he was too late to the scales to do anything ? the more you go on the more your justifying not being the brightest

i think what he ment is jonh couldn't get all the weight off it may have been 4oz on the scales but it was 4 pounds on the day he just couldn't get anymore off without feeling the effects!

this thread should be done with now trying to slag a young up and coming trainer off who puts more hours in for his boxers than most in and out of the gym!

Read this !!!
http://www.saddoboxing.com/9982-murray- ... ights.html He had 2 minutes from stepping off the scales to get to the dressing room and get 4 oz off which is obviously not enough TIME!! the weigh was at 1pm he was 58 minutes late!!! So as I said 'he was too late to do anything' and did'nt have time to get the weight off as 2 mins was not enough! The board only gave him an hour from the agreed time of 1pm!

It was unprofessional to come in overweight for a British title fight.

But at the end of the day, lessons got learned and everyone moves on.

Joe G doesn't cook every one of John's meals, there is an onus on the fighter to make the weight.

I agree with you Gomez its very unprofessional to be overweight for any title fight, scales are at the weigh in usally 1 hour before the weigh starts for a test weigh in,so john must have been a good bit over which surprises me as fighters get there weight checked by stewards for weeks leading up to fights and need to be within a certain percentage of there fighting weight at all times.
