How much lower do you think he should be?

Murat was a top 15 ranked fighter in the independent World rankings. Which other fighters in the rankings have a win on that level in the last 12 months, or at all?
Which independent world rankings were these.

I'd have Munroe (actually won the EBU title against a champion and beaten men ranked in the top ten independently) and Burns certainly ahead of him (beat the #1 or #2 ranked Super Feather). I also think Rhodes could be moved ahead of him (holds a win over a guy ranked in the top ten independently). Although I would keep him above Macklin, Murray and Brook.

So 6 or 7.
The Ring Magazine had Murat at sixth.

I can respect why you might do that, but I thought Burns' win over Martinez to become WBO champion was good enough to overtake those fighters.

Agreed, this is the first time I've ever looked at Horse's list and not scratched my head in total disbelief

Witter should be out of there, and it's taken the NOTW revelations for him to finally omit Hatton, but otherwise nice job.....

Like Crusader said: he was ranked in the top 10 by Ring magazine. I also think he would have been considered as a consensus top 15 ranked fighter as he had a win over Campillo and a good undefeated run as European champion.

I put Cleverly ahead of Munroe because his win over Murat is arguably better than any single win Munroe has, he won it clearly and it is significantly more recent than Munroe's best wins.

Burns had been out of the top 30 P4P rankings for over 3 years before he beat Martinez, so I didn't think he deserved to move ahead of Cleverly who had been on a solid recent run before beating Murat, who is probably on about the same level as Martinez.

Rhodes win over Moore was almost a year ago now, and his only win since then was against Luca Messi which isn't worth that much. I would say the Moore and Murat wins are both worth about the same, but Cleverly's win was more recent so I think he should be ahead of Rhodes at the moment.

I think you might be slightly exaggerating, Captain Hook.
