Ringside Radio to launch on Thursday October 7

In a move that shows the resilience and strength of boxing in Victoria, SEN Radio 1116 AM is launching "Ringside Radio" presented by Fightbet- a new one hour boxing radio program on Thursday nights from 10-11pm starting Thursday October 7.

The program will feature a mix of local and international boxing news and talking points, feature guests and contributors, historical segments, call in talkback, trivia and giveaway prizes.

Show 1 Guests are 3 weight class world champions Danny Green and Jeff Fenech with best caller prize supplied by Everlast.

Ringside Radio will be hosted by veteran broadcaster Mark Fine as part of his "Evenings with Finey" from 7-11pm weekdays. Fine said today "I believe there is a big audience out there for a specialist boxing show and not only in a great fight town like Melbourne but also for our national listening audience. Myself, Peter and Patrick are passionate about the fight game and spiced with some great historical segments, its going to be a lot of fun"

The program's in studio panel members are Peter Maniatis, the host of Channel 31's KO Boxing show and Patrick Skene producer and presenter of the Sweet Science Boxing Radio show on the National Indigenous Radio Service.

Fresh from his trip to the Philippines to interview world champions Manny Pacquiao and Nonito Donaire, Peter Maniatis is looking forward to the launch and said "Quality guests, tackling the big issues in boxing, feisty talkback and having a good laugh are the key ingredients and we are looking forward to winning new fans to our great sport."
