From Jeff Powell in the Mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/articl ... orner.htmlSexton, like Harrison before him, attempts to get his career back on track in Barry Hearn's Prizefighter promotion. The latest eight-heavyweight, one-night knock-out show takes place at Bethnal Green's fabled York Hall on Saturday with the draw offering a potential-final between Sexton and another come-back hopeful, Matt Skelton

Re: Prizefighter
Jeff Powell and the Mail in general know absolutely F-all about boxing. They shouldn't touch it if they are gona let pompous clowns like Powell write about our sport.leforge wrote:He means Sprott!WestEndRiot wrote:From Jeff Powell in the Mail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/articl ... orner.htmlSexton, like Harrison before him, attempts to get his career back on track in Barry Hearn's Prizefighter promotion. Re: Prizefighter
the PF with buckland and choi sounds a much better PF. buckland, like PF 140 winner rees, could be made for that format.

Who else we go it in it?Autobarn wrote:the PF with buckland and choi sounds a much better PF. buckland, like PF 140 winner rees, could be made for that format.

i don't know anything about it. i thought you knew more than me...
Re: Prizefighter
I have done a betting preview for this Saturday's Prizefighter at my Boxing betting site if anyone is interested. I fancy Sprott to take this based on his good showing versus Audley (until the KO of course!). Preview is here: Boxing Betting site

Re: Prizefighter
as long as those 2 are in it, i'm not bothered about the rest of the line up. glad that choi will get an opportunity, full stop. and reckon that buckland's style will be so effective in this format. hopefully the murray beating will not have taken too much out of him. buckland was also in a riveting fight with henry castle, whom he edged.

Scott Lawton, Kevin Ohara Femi Fentola maybe?Autobarn wrote:as long as those 2 are in it, i'm not bothered about the rest of the line up. glad that choi will get an opportunity, full stop. and reckon that buckland's style will be so effective in this format. hopefully the murray beating will not have taken too much out of him. buckland was also in a riveting fight with henry castle, whom he edged.
Re: Prizefighter
is lawton comfortable at that weight? i know they can come in a bit over the limit in prize fighter.
those 3 you mention sound like guys with something to gain from fighting in PF. o'hara and fehintola losing clearly to championship level guys...
i would hope for it to be buckland and choi doing a rogan-dolan, not coming together until the final.
is there a way of fixing the PF draw, keeping them apart in the first stage?

Re: Prizefighter
If you mean the TBAs, the full line-up is in the second post of this thread. If you mean substitutes, apparently Colin Kenna is one. Don't know the other.mbond007 wrote:Anybody know how to find out the alternate fighters for Prizefighter?
Re: Prizefighter
Martyn Grainger is the other sub.
