And the BBC Wales website is not the easiest to use either. I was going around the various links for ages.

I honestly believe froch could've done over Veity quicker. I think he hits harder with single shots than Joe.

Joe looked as if he was enjoying it. The German looked scared befor he got in the ring. He wouldnt look Joe in the eye when the ref brought them together just befor the first bell.
Joe won every round on my card and didnt even break sweat.

Just watched it on ZDF. The MC announced Joe from Cardiff England - ho ho.

Pains me to say it, but Calzaghe really looks to be slipping. Veit pretty much got outworked in most rounds, but he landed some good shots that had Joe's legs definitely stiffening 3 or 4 times. That great chin seems to be gradualy giving out - I mean Veit is no big puncher...

Calzaghe was obviously trying to finish it with those sweeping left hooks, and wasn't too bothered about defence, but I think the signs are there that he's a fighter definitely past his best.

The left hook that floored the brave Veit at end of 5th pretty much took all the fight out of him.

Better make the Lacy fight, and quick. It's getting late....

MW, I actually think he's been past his peak for quite a while now. Here's an old post: http://www.boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 430#170430

His next fight will be his 40th. He should go for a real big fight next: Lacy should he beat Reid, or maybe the winner of Johnson - Tarver if Roy doesn't fancy it. Go for that and then retire afterward if the big paydays don't materialize. I'd say he's got about 3 more WBO level wins in him at the most, so he might as well try for an exclamation mark as opposed to a full stop now the end is approaching.

Yeah you're probably right Manos. He looked bad last time out, but just thought he might be undermotivated, plus that knockdown shot would've KO'd a horse.

Sounds like Lacy is a done deal according to FW - better late than never.
Wonder where it'll be - UK or USA?

According to ZDF Calzaghe got £885K for the fight, not just 750K

That has to be the worst Universum I have ever seen, a semi ok main event but the undercard was sooooo weak. The broadcast only lasted 80 mins, I wonder how much ZDF paid for the card.
