Seem to remember reading it at Dog*house, so yeah, could well be funny buggers.

If you look at most number 2's and the ones that didn't get to go the games.... The ones with facebook and twitter accounts are constantly going on about how poor the games are, how they didn't get there through politics and how they'd have won gold. It's embarrassing. You didn't get there because you wasn't selected on the recommendation of Robert McCracken(TOP trainer) and every other GB/England selector through either:
A. Not having the results.
B. Not performing on squads.
C. Not being as good as the kid already selected or
D. Not performing in GB/England bouts.

All the embarrassing shouts are ridiculous. Like that Harry Enfield character: "Didn't like yer anyway ye lesbo!"
Personally I'm a bit pissed off that Kahn is constantly on the tv when good, hard working boxers from the home nations aren't getting the precious airtime. They're latching on to a line based on a false sob story.
Yafai is the daddy at the weight and would school Kahn.

There's a story there that will never be repeated(sorry to sound biased and big headed)in my brother winning at least silver - becoming the 3rd successive brother at consecutive games to do so. The pressure on him going to these games has been unreal and he has performed brilliantly, mentally as strong as anyone I know, handling the pressure like it's nothing.

Clare Balding should stop scratching his town halls and try reporting on that :TU:

Big Bro's latest effort on Twitter: "yo check this out, rob mc cracken is the trainer of Carl froch.. some1 jus told me that. well now everything makes sense...."

So now McCracken is conspiring against the Khan family because Amir had a row with one of his guys.

This gets more embarrassing by the day.

That is probably the case, but the Asian qualifier can still be pretty tough. There are a lot of good smaller fighters from China, Mongolia, India, and the 'Stans'.

I know, I'm always amazed by this. I've spoken to guys going into big, big title fights who know literally NOTHING about the bloke in the opposite corner, literally down to not even knowing the bloke's name, never mind their trainer.

Oi steady on! Not on purpose! Some pi$$ed up Irish bloke told me the tale in a pub and it sounded hilarious. At least the way he told it. As it turned out it probably wasn't true.

But it was still funny.

Anyway I was nice about Haroon in the other thread, he looks a really good boxer. I know nothing of him as a person though, other than the comments he's made that I'm reading here. Sounds like he has the same personality defects as big bro but we'll see.

James Toney once said in an interview 'I never study tapes of my opponents, I'm not worried about what they are going to do, but what I'm going to do.'

Now that may have been pre fight bluster, but also, not many fighters had the repetoire of skills Toney had.
