Another thread on Green vs Flores who have you got?

Post by Hounddawg »

There were no polls on the other threads started, and i haven't heard to many people thinking that this is a walk in the park for Green or Flores, so who have you got?

This should be interesting

Green by KO 9.

I voted Green decision but I am very interested to see the odds on a decision for Flores...

Very one eyed, but I say Green by stoppage, round 8.

Green decision, competitive all the way. Not seen much of either guy though, to be honest. Flores looks like a banana skin on paper.

I like Green on points. I think Green will win based on workrate, but Flores' size advantage and negative style will allow him to go 12 and make things competative. I wouldn't be shocked if Flores outboxed Green in enough rounds to earn a decision. Flores is a tricky fighter with good footwork and speed (more than Green, imo), while Green is more active, much better on th inside, and he has the crowd behind him. I don't see a convincing win for either guy.

Yep, and round 1 at that. He's been in training for 14 months for this fight.

I have seen him fight many times and he can stay away from Green for more than 6 rounds. If he stands and trades, obviously the chances of an early ending are greater, but Flores has enough boxing ability to go 12. The question for me is if he will do enough offensivly to win a decision.

I think this is going to be a good fight, a close fight, whether it's by KO or not, it'll be close.

BJF decision. I think a lot of people are really under-rating BJF's quality.

Its gonna be a late night for you guys on the east coast, now that you have daylight saving. I spoke with GMP to see if they were staring earlier to accomodate the east coast (which is usually the case....evrything must accomodate the east coast !!) and was told no, it would go ahead as normal. My understanding is doors open at 5pm (8pm EDT) with first bout at 5.30pm (8.30pm EDT).

And just to support my previous, I have just looked at the ticketmaster web site and it says the main fight will be about 7.30pm WST (10.30pm EDT).

That's about normal fight times for the east, we like to have dinner at seven thirty and regularly stay up past 10.30 over here, we're very cosmopolitan.

it seems greens put on some weight since his last outing, i wonder if its a good idea to jump up in weight so fast before a big test like flores promises to be >?
