IAN JOHN-LEWIS REF FOR KLITSCHKO VS BRIGGS

Post by DIRT SUGAR »

Big chance at last for Gillingham's ex-pro and top referee on Saturday as he gets chance to take charge of 'richest prize in sport'. Good for him.

Can you imagine the Germans with the English into German phrase book - looking under W for wefawee to find out what he is.

Well Done IJL best of luck

I imagine IJL won't let Chisora take too much of a beating which is good.

He's not a bad referee....but does anyone remember the time he was being announced ahead of a fight and he looked at the camera, started wagging a finger and proclaiming himself No.1....it was hilarious but cringeworthy stuff :DDD

Thankfully i think he must have seen the tape, realised what a tool he looked and hasn't done anything quite like that since.

yeah, I watched that and he's certainly not done it recently that i've seen. Unfortunalty Joe Cortez hasn't seemed to get the message though. Having said that I've not seen that much of him lately, so maybe it's been decided there's not enough room in the ring for two boxers and Cortez's head!

Last fight I saw him work was Aydin-Dan and he did a horrible job. I am not too familiar with him as a ref, but he hasn't done a good job when I have see him.

Top draw! Nice to see one of our boys get the job. He's also quite young and actually in reasonable shape too, which can only be a good thing with these two beasts.
