Artie Levine probably hit Robinson as hard as anyone when he decked the Sugar man for a 8, or 9 count. Robinson was seriously hurt in that bout, but came back like the great he was.

...joey maxim. fought as a heavyweight when he was really a light heavy....and he won the latter title when he dropped down to that division. fought some of the best fighters of his day. kayoed once... caught cold by the murderous curtis shepard....won the rematch by decision a few weeks later...(that's the way they fought rematches then.) great defensive fighter....but the chin had to be something.....just check his record out on boxrec.
not to mention that archie more couldn't ko him in 45 rounds (three title fights)

One heavyweight who could take a punch well was Joe
Bugner. Yes, he didn't have that much in the way of
desire, but he had quite a bit of skill and durability.

..righto punch...and we could also mention ezzard charles couldn't stop him in five fights.....and he decisoned bob satterfield who could stop a car with his punch.
