Sorry, just got up because I gave up watching last night about the ninth round -- to find the giant arm-punching lunk couldn't even put him away?
You can laugh all you like, Datsue. Hit and don't be hit. Vitali earned more last night than most people earn in a lifetime and barely took a shot for the privilege. He dominated his opponent for every second, of every minute of the fight. What is more, he won't be a slurring mess in 20 years. He's a great boxer.

On a seperate note. IJL should've thrown the bag of wind in Briggs' corner out of the venue. The man's constant barrage of noise was unwelcome.
Agreed on all points. Vitali got hit with 5 punches in total in the whole fight.

Briggs has unfortunately almost certainly taken permanet damage and maybe advance his future pugilistica dementia.

Also Vitali does have a tendency to not hit the opponent on the chin, rather he cluns the top of the head. This lesses the chance of a clean KO.

Plus Briggs had a good chin, despite the Darroll Wilson thing

Pointless one sided beatdown. Vitali should have put and end to it sooner, if only out of pure mercy.

Vitali is one big awkward sod, but does he really have that much one punch power anymore? He must have hit Briggs flush about 50 times in that fight and never put him down. He seemed content to drag the thing out and just beat up on Briggs.

The pace was laughable. that`s not boxing for me, it`s just two big lumps walking around a ring whilst one hits the other for 36 mins.

Bring back the early 90`s when Tyson was tearing into everyone he fought. We need some excitement, not this drivel.

it doesn't take that much class. it's enough to be strong, solid, big and experienced.

Yeah, hes dipped under 93% with this fight. Ooh the shame.

I think he was surprised at how Briggs was standing up to them. He upped his output after round 8 and understandably expected Briggs to crumble.
I noticed that he was turning into shots which he doesn't usually have to resort to.

That was a painful fight to watch!

The contest should've been stopped IMO because Briggs had no chance of winning it and he was shipping BIG shot after BIG shot. Briggs landed no more than a handful of punches of Vitali all night
