He beat a guy called Stefy Bull who was Central Area Champion, a top class amateur and a very decent pro. Don't you follow boxing?

Who do people think on this one I side woodhouse more cause he wants to win more mcdonagh is tough but not strong an not a puncher an very readable so expect woodhouse to grind out a points win which he will win have to work for

Woodhouse is defo good enough to win this fight. I fancy a good points win or late TKO.

Tko would be good an would take my hat of to him but mcdonagh has lost his last 3so his punch resistance must be going fight by fight

Bit harsh on Curtis.

He's doing well and improved a lot, most of all he is enjoying the sport and entertaining.

if woodhouse try's to blast him out he could come unstuck later on. if he has the dicipline to fight & win rd by rd he may get a stoppage possibly as mcdonagh's resistance has to give soon, but i wouldnt bat an eyelid if mcdonagh beat's him. he'll certainly gauge woodys level.

Just because he's lost his last 3 isn't an indication that his punch resistance is near going fight by fight. He doesn't exactly take beating or get stopped. Wasn't like he showed he couldn't hold a shot in those loses

When I saw the topic title I was thinking, "who on earth is Barbara Woodhouse?" -- As it turns out, it's someone who could beat dukeruffhands into oblivion.

McDonagh has AAA on the go for much of his fight - I had him needing the final round for a draw.

If Barbara, whoooppsy, sit sit!, think that McDonagh aint going to fire two fisted at him in every round he is in for a shot.

McDonagh Abú!!!

My spelling is shocking at the best of times - but when I come in from a 12 hour session on the lash I make absolutely no sense at all.

I personally think its a good yardstick fight only the best domestically beat McDonagh. Curtis is pretty much unproven yet & this will get him some rounds under the belt.
Curtis on points IMO

Agree, anyone who gives up decent pay as a pro footballer to take up boxing deserves a chance in my eyes. He has put the time and effort in and is improving. I dont think anyone knows how far he can go yet, but doing it all the right way. Good luck Curtis, put on a show and let people see you are worth a watch.

Exactly. Also,if Curtis was "very limited",Steffy Bull would have boxed rings round him.Curtis may not turn out to be a world beater but he is definately a good domestic standard and his attitude is probably the best in boxing. How many would want to jump in with Gavin knowing they were likely to get beat because they genuinely want to test themselves?

Maybe a younger Stefy would have boxed rings around him, and maybe Stefy is relatively limited himself.

McDonagh gave Alex Arthur plenty to think at the Kelvin Hall and that was after one of the most traumatic weeks of McDonagh's life when he probably shouldnt even have been fighting.

Gavin never even dropped a single round or got out of third gear against the Galwayman so it will be interesting to see if Woodhouse can come even close to that. If he cant, then he has no place in a ring with Gavin in my opinion.
