jamie moore

Post by southpaw90 »

only been a serious fan of boxing for the past 18months since i started doing it. but i liked jamie moore from the first time i seen him and wondered why this never got a world title shot and why he had to wait to soo long for a european title shot. such a shame as the guy was genuinely world class and shud of won a title. got to wonder where he'd b if he had of beaten rhodes.

Bad management I guess. Probably a good job he didn;t beat Rhodes, as he would have had to kill himself even longer to make light middle!

Great fighter Moore, one of my favourites. Great great ambassador for the Lonsdale belt :box:

Real shame he never got a world title chance. Not many British fighters deserved it over Moore from the past few years IMO

yeh he really did kill himself to make the weight. i think its really weird tht sum guys can make crazy weight like super feather and there taller than moorsey. must just b on the person not the height.

who managed him anyways i know he was with frank maloney near the end

As much as some people may not want to hear this my opinion is that he was poorly managed.

Maloney isn't prepared to spend the money (possibly because he doesn't have the big funds?) to bring a champion over to defend his belt.

Look what Warren does for his fighters, the majority of the time he will get them a shot at a world title if he thinks they are good enough and he will do his best to stack the chips in his fighters favour even if it potentially might leave him out of pocket Mitchell, Burns, Khan etc etc. This is what needed to happen with Moore but sadly never did for whatever reason.

There is more to it than that if you have followed the story.

probably injuries and poor management, everyone says Moore spent too long at domestic level, it took him ages to to get a euro shot too, bansagurov (sic) messed him about with the euro shot, but still he should have had a shot at it earlier, or even bypassed the euro title if his promoter stuck his hand in his skyrocket and brought a world champ over, Moore could have definitley won a legitimate version of the title at light middle if the opportunity had been presented to him.

FIGHTING AND WINNING A WORLD TITLE IS ALL ABOUT TIMING. JAMIE WOULD HAVE WON A WORLD TITLE IF HE HAD GOT A SHOT STRAIGHT AFTER MACKLIN. FOR ME RIGHT MANAGER WRONG PROMOTER. WARREN WOULD HAVE DELIVERED THE WORLD TITLE FIGHT AND JAMIE WOULD HAVE WON THE FIGHT. GOOD TO SEE HIM BACK ON SKY. THE SAYING THE FIGHTERS FIGHTER. AND COMES ACROSS VERY WELL ON TV. ALL THE BEST MOORSEY.

jamie has a big heart & an even bigger ar$e, he could carve out a career doing some saturday night fever dancing in his tight trouser's

He pretty much said on Ringside that he missis the training and buzz of the gym but that he doesn't want to fight any more, can't blame him really he had some great scraps, shame he never got the breaks at the right time, top bloke and a great fighter. Hopefully he can carve out a career as a comentator like term like J Nelson has.

i always always wanted to see jamie moore vs bradley pryce. In 2007/8 these 2 were on fire at light middle having brilliant watchable fight after fight and i would have guaranteed it would have been british foty. On mooresy, the guy is a british cult legend, he is one of our own gatti's. You can throw michael gomez in there 2, But do not put them in the same category of boxer, moore had skills

It's obvious Jamie Moore has lost the plot. Since he retired he can be seen on Ringside and in other various commentary positions wearing licra trousers that need to painted on then taken off with a Stanley Knife. Although he did have the sense to be wearing what seemed to be a New Suit for the Pacquiao fight. At leaset I think it was a New Suit because I'm sure I could still see the label on his collar :box: ;;-) :shame:
