Gidday all, lately been talking to a few blokes i use to box with in qld,
they are always baggin the global boxing and the league boxing in qld
and saying the association is the way to go..saying they are alot harder fights etc..is that so??which i dont see how when i all i see it as is a different scoring system..also i know a few pro fighters now which came though in league and global boxing??
Global the league and Qabai all have dam good am boxers, they just dont get along with each other. (to pig headed) If by some remote chance they all got together it would be great for boxing Am and Pro in Australia. They all say they love the sport of boxing but dont do anything to all get together, maybe just a power thing.
I don't know what is happening. Even though I am 34 yo I have to say it!!
Back in my day when I was a Am in the UK, there used to be the ABC championship for regions where each ABC coach would pick a boxer from each weight division, and fight against another ABC in a league format. In my division there were 6 ABC's.
After the club league at the end of the year the standout boxers, the boxers with the best records in the league, would go to the regional championships to fight for first of all themselves, and for their club.
Has the world gone mad, why has the AM scene become so political?
