With all the talk of PEDs etc, that leaves him open to a few questionsYour body produces more red blood cells [at altitude] and so it helps you with stamina and endurance. Going to England 18 days before the fight I'm going to lose a bit after nine or 10 days, but there are ways to reduce that.

He'll use an oxygen chamber when he gets back here.
Re: The Latest Quote from the A-Force
Is this his usual training program, or is he really up for this?

Re: The Latest Quote from the A-Force
I was very impressed by the set up out in Big Bear and by Audley's mental attitude. He really believes he's going to win and he talks with a logic that he's often lacked in the past. He looks lean and is obviously working on speed, he seems very happy and utterley convinced that this is his destiny. There are parts of his training and tactics that he's keeping secret but what I saw looked good.
Certainly David could walk out and nail him fast. Haye's fought just one southpaw as a pro and that didn't last too long. However, I still don't feel that anyone has effectively used their physical advantages against Haye yet at heavyweight, perhaps that's because they weren't allowed to. The size difference here is enormous though and Audley does seem to have got under David's skin.

Can you comment on any rift between SKY and DH? There appears to be one, he's certainly not being too compliant or co-operative after the initial rash of "we used to be mates, now it's personal" fluff.

What difference is that going to make? That's going to just oxygenate the cells he already has, not create new ones.ed robinson wrote:He'll use an oxygen chamber when he gets back here.
He could go into a hyperbaric chamber, where they could reduce the amount of oxygen, but unless he's going to be living in there for 10 days, probably not going to do much.

orbastic - sorry, a rift is news to me! There should be some Haye training on Ringside Thursday.
James - it was Eddie Hearn who mentioned it to me - he probably meant a hyperbolic chamber. Either way they seemed convinced that the altitude training wouldn't go to waste.

My favourite quote from Audley in the build up has definitely been
"my name is Audley, my name is Audley, Audley money, Audley money"
Brilliant

Hi Mark. This fight is alot closer than everyone thinks it will be. I like Haye as I have met him a few times and think he will win but he can't take Audley lightly as Audley can punch and does have skills, which alot of people tend to forget because of his negativity in fights. If Haye tries to blast him out early then I can see Audley winning late on stoppage. But If Haye picks his punches and uses the evasive tactics he used on valuev then I can see Haye winning by late stoppage

Rob, Harrison is utterly convinced that he will dethrone Haye. He's been accused of being delusional in the past but his rationale for winning this one kind of makes sense. Although a boxer will always tell you what he wants to be true, it's part of the training, like a self hypnosis!
You'll all get to see it in the build up on the week of the fight. There'll be some very interesting footage. Absolutely he's training to win.

But Bigmark, that's it, we're not asking the super human of Audley - as we were of Ricky Hatton to beat Mayweather - just for Audley to put it all together and do excatly what he's actually capable of. For that he needs the right mentality and set of circumstances. Confidence back, less pressure than his opponent, possible psychological edge, good training camp....
Re: The Latest Quote from the A-Force
I still think the fight will be determined by Audley's mental condition rather than his physical one. Consequently I still expect him to crumble when it comes to fight time..ed robinson wrote:I was very impressed by the set up out in Big Bear and by Audley's mental attitude. Re: The Latest Quote from the A-Force
He looked ok in the first couple of rounds in the 1st Sprott fight before Sprott came back with something and he retreated into his shell.
He does the same thing again and again. He talks a good fight but I think mentally just can't put it together when under pressure. Then it's excuses galore after a poor performance, I'll be back, 200x is my year..Tupac Tupac..then we're back to poor performances again. He just doesn't deliver on his promises.
Haye, like him or hate him...he will bring his A game and he will be throwing hard, fast punches at Audley's chin. I think once he tastes a couple he'll be on the back foot and pecking away negatively with his jab until Haye puts him away.

Re: The Latest Quote from the A-Force
my problem with that is we have seen this 6-7 times from Audley. When it comes to the fight the build up is the best bit. The actual in ring action will be pathetic.ed robinson wrote:Rob, Harrison is utterly convinced that he will dethrone Haye. Eff me! Danny Williams! He was absolutely shot to bits by the time Audley got him. In fact he was shot to bits in the first fight that he won against Audley. Danny was in awful shape, totally demotivated, and didn't even want to be there, it was as clear as day - he was slumped on his stool before the first bell during the announcements.warmachine wrote:Bigmark Yeah everyone forgets that Audley does have skills and when fired up can produce like the second Danny williams fight
If you think that beating the shell of Danny Williams is an indication that Audley is capable of big things, then god help us all!
Sure, Haye is no superman, he has a definite weakness in the beard. However, Audley himself is going to be taking some shots in return, not fighting a punchbag.

Ed's been hypnotised by Aud the verbal wizard! He's the latest member of the cult...if Aud pulls it off, look for Ed to rip off his shirt and tie to reveal a 'YES HE DID!' I understand what you're saying Rob but if Audley doesn't back up his talk - Haye will probably just smash through him. Either outcome should be compulsive viewing. We make predictions now on the show and I'll almost certainly still go for Haye but there is definitely an argument for Harrison.

I just can't take Audley seriously at all, he's always talking about gimmicks etc. We've had this with the stuff about the altitude training and before that it was his little axe incase a bear came near. Once it comes to talking about the actual fight he goes a bit quiet and gets flummuxed quite quickly.
I see him freezing once the spotlight hits him in the ring and then it becomes a case of when Haye wants to finish him.
