I didn't know there are defending prizefighter champions, shouldn't it be Sprott for the Heavies anyway now?
Fury should be below Sprott and Skelton
Dunstan at 6 seems a bit lofty at Cruiseriweight, but there is not much talent there.
I'd have Bellew above McIntosh - Oakey was finished when McIntosh fought him.
I'd have Degale above Groves and Dilks is a little low.
Shouldn't Craig Watson be at Light Midldle?
Paul Samuels is a little low at Middle.
Colin Lynes should be above Barnes.
Liam Walsh's commonwealth title win is a little overated by yourself - should be behind Morris IMO.
Few of the fighters listed have retired - Hunter (and I think Barney has also).
Re: British & Irish rankings - Let me know your thoughts
Marc Callaghan is also retired

yes need to change PF champ to Sprott.stujones wrote:Think some of the prospects you've got included are a little lofty.

I don't think Sprott or Skelton have had a good win for some time. Thats why Fury is ahead of them. I would have Fury ahead of Harrison.
Agree Dunstan is high but don't think you can rank the other above him.
Bellew's best win is Ajisafe, who he struggled agaisnt. Oakey was coming of PF win. I don't doubt Bellew would beat him, but don't think you can rank on potential.
Does Dilks have a win at 168lbs?? I agree actually DeGale ahead of Groves.
Not sure if Samuels wins of Renda should boost him that high. Think its more to do with Renda not being very good.
Craig Watson has moved back down.
Agree about Lynnes. Think Barnes will be unranked due to inactivity soon anyway.
Yeh Walsh probs behind Morris. I think Walshs opponent is better than some other Comm challangers in recent times (Atoli Moore)

cheers. I think we can agree they are better than Skys!!!BIGMARK wrote:they seem pretty sound to me, of course there are a few who could swap places but that i think is more down to personal opinion and in general i would say they are about right.robpalmer135 wrote:I did.warmachine wrote:who compiled these rankings?
I would Fury down though to 8
Re: British & Irish rankings - Let me know your thoughts
Rankings look pretty good Rob.
Adnan Amar needs to be removed, hasnt fought in over a year with nothing lined up.
Howard Eastmen shouldn't be at 7, he recently lost a 4 rounder to some unknown Guyanan. Would have Samuel above Butler at MW as well.

I agree but don't think there is any logical reason for Bellew being ahead of McIntosh.BIGMARK wrote:robpalmer135 wrote:i dont read Skys and tend to go with Boxing Monthly, rankings are important but also not as the best fighters should always rise to the top. It often comes down to opinion for example some would put Bellew ahead of Danny McIntosh and others no.
Sky had Audley as the number 3 Heavyweight in the UK and Molitor as the number 2 Super Bantam in the world.

Re: British & Irish rankings - Let me know your thoughts
His only fights at Super Featherweight were the KO losses to Lawton and Ramogadi. Since then he retired, has come back but at 140lbs. If he does well at Prizefighter I am sure he will be ranked, but at the moment he wouldnt even be top 20 in any division in the UK.leeharding wrote:u left derry matthews out of super feather any reason yrobpalmer135 wrote:I did.warmachine wrote:who compiled these rankings?

Re: British & Irish rankings - Let me know your thoughts
Spot on Rob. I think you are pretty accurate there.
My only observation would be Bellew and Mackintosh, I think these needs swapping round as Bombers last 2 fights were wins for the Comm belt and Mac has not fought since winning the English and before that a good hiding off Clev which was July 09, so also been innactive.
Good work either way.

but it was a 1st round knock out of Tony Oakey......Bellews wins were agaisnt Atoli Moore and then he looks shocking agaisnt Ajisafe.stevek3lly wrote:Spot on Rob.

Lets be real. If Bellew has knocked out Oakey in 1 round people would be going mental about it.Tommy Gunn13 wrote:I think the oakey stoppage flatters Mcintosh, was oakey shot?? ive read somewhere hes turned the Bomber fight down,is that true might aswell ask u..ive been told his facebook page says hes training for you&has been for a while...if he has turned the fight down, obvisly he dont fancy it.....robpalmer135 wrote:but it was a 1st round knock out of Tony Oakey......Bellews wins were agaisnt Atoli Moore and then he looks shocking agaisnt Ajisafe.stevek3lly wrote:Spot on Rob. I agree with you rob on paper the Oakey win looks far better than Bellews wins on his...Just asking Bombers opinions on has the fight been offerd to Mcintosh, coz i read he had turned it down(mcintosh)but he saying on his facebook page hes been training for Bomber...to be honest i dont think he fancys it 1bit&even after Bellews last permormance....robpalmer135 wrote:Lets be real. Maybe McIntosh has accepted a new offer.Tommy Gunn13 wrote:I agree with you rob on paper the Oakey win looks far better than Bellews wins on his...Just asking Bombers opinions on has the fight been offerd to Mcintosh, coz i read he had turned it down(mcintosh)but he saying on his facebook page hes been training for Bomber...to be honest i dont think he fancys it 1bit&even after Bellews last permormance....
I also heard he has turned it down but you cant read anything into it. He could of been offered £7 and with a 5 fight option.

So does anyone have any more info on Danny Mac's comments he is training for Bomber? That is a fight I really want to see and as a boxing fan it should be awsome and a massive addition to the Dec 11th show.
