I would expect haye to be ringside. You're right i think that would make for great hype.lefthook82 wrote:I think he is @ kingfinn
He usually lands heavy artilery in the 2nd round and look for him to finish him off in that period. I know he is all about the win but he must know that a Jabathon does nothing to endear himself to the British public.
A battering and then a Haye call out makes for a very intersting proposition
How much do you think Chisora will be getting from the Wlad

Re: How much do you think Chisora will be getting from the Wlad
FW said himself that Chisora was getting £200,000 and would have to fight Vitali if he wins with no say over purse and if he beats Vitali he then has to fight one of the brothers again but this time gets a 50/50 split of the purse, which is really nice of them isn't it.
Re: How much do you think Chisora will be getting from the Wlad
A couple of things about this don't stack up.
Warren says "This is a three-fight deal, the same deal that was offered to David Haye. There's a 50-50 agreement in it, so I don't know why Haye didn't sign it.", while Chisora says "Crap" when pressed on how much he is earning.
So either Del boy is lying and the money is good, Warren is lying and the deal is not the same as was offered to Haye or Haye really was offered the sh1tty end of a very sh1tty stick so told the brothers where to go.
I reckon Del is getting no more than £200k with more to be earned in the event of rematches. If that really was the same deal as offered to Haye (former undisputed (to all intents and purposes) Cruiserweight champ and genuine Heavyweight title holder), then why is Haye getting so much stick for turning down a pittance of a pay day?

Re: How much do you think Chisora will be getting from the Wlad
The 50/50 deal is strictly for the THIRD fight, if he beats BOTH brothers first.
Re: How much do you think Chisora will be getting from the Wlad
Some fo these estimates are way over!
Danny Williams got 120k for fighting Tyson! Someone said Del Boy "will end up with 500k british" - thats after his 40% tax, then 10-15% trainers and managers / promoters fee's - no chance. He'll be lucky to end up taking home 70k imo.

Why is it anyones business what anyone is getting paid? The bottom line is it's signed and done and Dereck Chisora has his chance and is happy.
Really makes no difference to anyone but the parties involved what the deal is and his purse, is his business. It makes to difference to the fight itself or nayone on here does it?

It makes a difference when a promoter is using it as a stick to beat other fighters with, which FW is clearly doing here.boxingchat wrote:Why is it anyones business what anyone is getting paid? The bottom line is it's signed and done and Dereck Chisora has his chance and is happy.

umm, 'usually...', you mean usually, apart from all those many many recent fights in which Wlad took the fight/ was taken into the 9th round and beyond...?lefthook82 wrote:I think he is @ kingfinn

as far as him endearing himself to the british public- eh? he is on German terrestial TV. i doubt he cares much about endearing himself over here. he's made bucketloads of cash without good ol' Blighty being so much as a blip on his radar.

If people want to speculate on what he might receive, that's their business really. It's not like anyone is rifling through Del Boys house to try and find the contract.

ok, I shouldnt say usually @ counter puncher. Afterall, I sat/slept through his fight with Iggy
But watch his last 3 fights. The 2nd round is when he started landing the bombs
As for endearing himself to the British public, I think that is what this fight is all about. He knows how much PPV is worth over here and by making a statement in this fight the average joe on the street will be talking about him.

Re: How much do you think Chisora will be getting from the Wlad
Speaking of this fight anyone know who he is likely to be using for sparring? Or any opinions on who would be good prep for Wlad (assuming Vitali doesn't want to help Derek out)?

How much do I think Chisora will be getting from the Wlad?
About 100 jabs, 30 right hands, and a severe beating.
Boom Boom
