Everyone wanted to get to know me and there were no prima donnas or any clicks. The coaches are very good and made me feel welcome....Am looking forward to Thursday and getting to have a little spar(if i remember my gumshield this time). No one in the gym tries to kill each other during sparring either( Last gym i was at when i was younger some lad tried to kill me in a simple touch sparring session lol)
All in all really enjoyed it

Lol Funny you say that coz last night i thought i was gonna faint after the 1st round of circuits and thought it was my ticker playing up(obviously wasnt but i used to binge drink every weekend and smoke about 10 fags a day). Good luck as well mate with fighting in the white collar circuit. I met a geezer last night at the gym who was 35 and just getting in to it and he said he wants to fight competitevly as well on the unlicensed circuit. Its gonna take a lot of time and dedication but its gonna be worth it. I cant believe ive wasted so many years down the pub etc when i could have just gone boxing.......suppose ive grown up a bit now

just because your bird say's na you dont look fat, dont mean you aint :!: have a row & the truth comes out DD
im just over 6ft & just under 16st, . bit of a little belly & a ar$e like moorsey D if your training well for two months at a good intensity your good for 3-4 rds no prob's & if it's hard you got somthing to work on. you cant afford to strive on perfection you just got to throw yourself into it & you'll soon fit'n up :!:
I went back to a local gym for a few sessions at 38, was really good there. Enjoyed it and the fitness came right up again, got in with a young lad to spar , and suddenly discovered what 'old man' felt like.
Unfortunatly i tore my calf muscle trying to play football at the end of last season, and i can't get it right again. wish i'd just stuck to boxing training now.
As long as the gym is ok with older guys going along to train and get fit, i'd recommend boxing training to anyone.
