O'shaungensy and Stead are both notably missing due to not having been given enough notice to prepare. Dudley especially - he won the ABA's, lives in the borough were boxing at 2012 will be held and has been denied another chance.

Is that why there fights with Fowler&Ward didnt happen? i thought they would have enough notice for there respective box off bouts...

Im potentially missing Harraison/Haye for this event.

Some absolute crackers on display here. Stalker v Ward should be fantastic and 69kg will be incredible with Smith, Fowler and Evans.

This event should be compulsary every single year.

They done something similar around December 2004.

Anyone in Liverpool for this? I'll be covering the local lads for Magazine then probably heading into a nearby boozer to catch the Heavyweights.

Dependant on the missus going into labour (due Nov 13th), I think it will nip over to this alright. I'd be more interest in this than Haye-Harrison.

Why isnt your boy Stubbs in this?

so the story goes. Dudley only got a 2 weeks (or less) notice for the box off's in Dagenham, so West Ham wouldn't put him in and rightfully so, the lad won the ABA's and was presumably taking the summer off.

Think Stead wasn't that near the weight - but think he didn't get much notice either apparently.

Still some crackers on this bill though. Weaver and Campbell stick out to me - Cambell just beat the european champion (and in some people's eyes one of the best performers at the Euro's).

Be good to see how Obed does at 81 as well - he's not been overly successful at the major touraments this year but has had a tough draw. I'm interested to see if anyone can challenge his spot on the podium squad in the coming months.

Its on the same time as the Haye-Audley undercard isn't it? I think theres a Sunday highlight show on BBC2 so hopefully it gets a fair amount of viewers and some exposure for the lads.

I wonder which show will produce the better fights? :OhYes:

Any idea how well publicised this is outside of the boxing forums?

I'm sure plenty casual fans who don't have Sky or wouldn't buy the PPV would rather watch this than Strictly Come Dancing or Casualty but will they know it's available on the red button?
