Rumours - Haye's training camp has not gone well

Post by robpalmer135 »

According to Steve Bunce on the prizefighter podcast.

He said "Im hearing all kinds of stories coming out his camp and not all of them good. I'm hearing some bad things. One of the things thats disturbing me is the amount of people you have to contact to get close to him"

A bad camp, or is Steve upset at not been able to get hold of him?

Seems a strange thing to worry about?

Camp is fine - no problems - Haye is lighter than normal, which was his intention, thats about it in terms of a story.

+1

What Buncey had to call Elliott, then Dave, then Adam before he finally got to Hayley?

Must have been awful for him!

yeah, just imagine, a fighter in training camp not making himself available for Sir Steve of Bunceville IMMEDIATELY upon Mr Bunce's request. The NERVE of the man.

Sounds a good plan to come in light and quicker, with Harrison having no chin whatsoever there was never any need to bulk up in size.

haye looked to hefty against ruiz who he could time of his bomb's against & use the added weight. haye certainly understand's his weakness's & strength's & utilise's them very well imo.but fluctuating back up & down can mess your body up & leave you pretty flat.
maybe aud has got in his head & he's burning up alot of nervous energy as he as suggested in the past. harrison's confidence could also be a smoke screen. the first bell will be very intresting too see who back's it up, because boo's will echo around the arena.

Could turn into a nightmare for Haye if Audley comes out firing and gets the crowd behind him.

Il warn u this is a cheap plug but BN managed to speak to Haye for hours, the results of which will be in the November 11 issue with the preview, Audley's views and 16 extra pages. Does Tris possess more charm than Buncey? Just kidding big man

Never say never. There is a lot riding on this for Audley. As a man and a fighter, surely if there was every a time to just let it all go to turn the Fraudleys into Audleys, it is this fight. But see your point in why would he change now. I am just looking at it from a do or die situation.

Don't get me wrong, I honestly believe (and I've said it many times) that Audley is the most naturally talented heavy we've had for a long time. He just can't have a row. And he aint gonna change his ways now.

Ive heard there have been some Southpaw struggles myself.

Not sure how legit it all is though. They're not going to say anything other than its a great camp.

The fact he only faced one lefty as a pro is a concern though dont you think ?

Haye looked great in the pictures I saw of him. There was also talk that his training camp did not go well for Ruiz. This could just be another way to make it seem like Audley actually has a chance to win.

I suppose so, but Haye has sparred Harrison before, so he has some experience there.

How many times has he been stopped?

How many times has he been knocked down?

The answers are 1) once 2) twice. Hardly alarming stats for a heavyweight.

Danny Williams' knockdown tally is well into double figures.

He's come out firing on several occasions. True to say he has often taken his foot off the gas later, but there have been several fights in which he's attacked from the opener.

that was when he couldn't spar for a month or so prior to the fight because of a cut, or something.
