Here’s an idea. Let me know what you guys think.
Alp does a great job of the BOTP HOF. I think we all appreciate his efforts.
I was thinking about a BOTP awards.
I think awards for boxers for 2010 would quickly be shunted by BoxBuzz into the Current Scene. But what about boxing books? These are usually about boxers from the past.
Would I be breaking any rules of the forum by asking people to nominate boxing books from the past year and then having a vote on them?
I’d love to have a BOTP annual awards and have as many categories as we can think up.
Anybody interested?

Re: BOTP Annual Awards?
I think it would be tough if you are going to limit it to just books that came out during the current year. Personally, most of the books I read are from the library and are already at least a year old by then.
Its also going to be hard to find a lot of people that have read the same book.
Maybe you could tweak this some. Include all books or at least all books in a certain time frame, covering several years. A Hall of Fame for books if you will.
(btw-Recently, I just happened to see Jack Cavanaugh, who wrote the Tunney biography at a book signing.)
I think you are on to something. Some of us do like to read boxing books and would be interested in what books other people have read.
