Why is Big Larry leaving Frank Maloney??
OK< have I missed something, thought all was going well??
Re: Why is Big Larry leaving Frank Maloney??
I guess this was the issue Big Larry was suggesting why he wasn't certain of his next date. I kind of read between the lines (or should I say post) and thought as much (Larry's "I cannot say exactly what or why" response gave it away for me).....absolutely no idea, completely guess and I think Larry might have been offered something somewhere else or has seen how quickly Derrick Chisora has gone from "knockout a bum" to world title challenger and thinks its greener somewhere else.
COMPLETE speculation on my, and only my, behalf.

I know Mcdermott on the 11th on the FW show, Fw won the pruse bids,,MachoMan09 wrote:If he's left one Frank, he'll have to go to the other, won't he? .
Re: Why is Big Larry leaving Frank Maloney??
I´d guess he feels there will be more money and opportunity with FW, he has prob been offered a title shot for at least the British if he jumps ship

Good luck to him. Doubt its Warren though. Not sure what the upside would be for Fwank
Re: Why is Big Larry leaving Frank Maloney??
I think Frank would find Larry useful. A couple of fights, my guess would be Baker after Big John, and then perhaps Chisora?lefthook82 wrote:Good luck to him. Doubt its Warren though. Not sure what the upside would be for Fwank
Re: Why is Big Larry leaving Frank Maloney??

Re: Why is Big Larry leaving Frank Maloney??
My opinion, based on nothng but GUESSWORK!
Maloney has too many heavies to look after. ASnd maybe the opportunities have been been as forthcoming as first suggested?
Also, fighting Mcdermott does not really vault Larry up the rankings. All guess work, but end of the day, Frank will be promoting long after Larry hangs em up so Larry has to make his own decisions about his future.
But maybe our mystic postman (KEVO) can tell us after he finishes opening the letters he shoud have delivered today while looking for cash?

Re: Why is Big Larry leaving Frank Maloney??
I think Maloney is bringing Larry on just fine, gradually increasing his level of competition - Colin Kenna, Dave Ferguson etc as he moves towards English / British title contention. Larry's had stiffer tests than David Price and Tom Dallas and is progressing well.
Though Larry's clearly developed his skills this year, it wasn't long ago that he was being outpointed by Daniel Peret. Maloney kept the faith and Larry has repaid him with some excellent performances. I expect him to steamroller McDermott early doors, too.

Adios? Some of you guys really take yoursleves so seriously.BIGMARK wrote:i think the McDermott fight is the perfect next step, Big John has good hand speed and is an underated boxer. He should give Larry a few problems and even taking him into the second half of the fight where things could get interesting if Larry has spent a lot energy trying to bomb him out. Larry's skills have been improving so if he sticks to a decent game plan of cutting the ring down and not wasting his punches he should stop McDermott within 5 rounds IMO.The Most High wrote:My opinion, based on nothng but GUESSWORK!

You do not need to explain anything, 1 life to live, and to achieve sometimes you have to make decisions that mean you move on.

What is a troll? I have noticed a few people acting as if this is the houses of parliament and being rude to new people. I do not feel the need to tell you who I am, several chaps in and out of the trade on here know me, Hi GUYS!
Read my posts ( pre Kevo's gong postal rage) and then tell me if I am a troll. And who are you if you do not mind me asking?

Thanks Guys for the support. And Machoman you are a nosey so and so. Just kidding mate, but at this moment you can understand I can't really make any comments like that
Re: Why is Big Larry leaving Frank Maloney??
A surprising development. I remember being shocked when Matt Skelton decided to leave Maloney after he had shown faith in him and quickly fastracked Matt towards title level at 30-something plus. Maloney seemed to be favouring the same approach with Larry (Larry's turned 30, no offence to him) but as always, there's two sides to every story.
Larry's very exciting so I'm looking forward to seeing him back in action soon. Providing he sees off McDermott, Olubamiwo vs Dallas or Price would take on extra spice now.

30 is not old especially for a heavyweight & especially one that's an athlete like lazzo.

As long as Larry isn't without a fight for to long, then i don't mind who he fights for.
He seems an intelligent guy, and he has to what he thinks is right for him.
time will tell if its the right decision.

Considering the sheer size and shape of Larry and how intimidating he can look when he wants to, I can't help but think he should sign up with an agent and get some work in films. Definitely when he's next in L.A. anyway - the American film industry loves a British bad guy!

Re: Why is Big Larry leaving Frank Maloney??
We respect your silence Larry. We here just want to see you in the ring and improving as you have been recently. Maloney is a good man, but as we all know, Warren is the best UK promoter, and will only look for your best interests, as it will benefit him obviously. Your in good hands I think if this is the case.
Re: Why is Big Larry leaving Frank Maloney??
At one point I actually was wondering if Larry was any good at MMA
