The Lewis uppercut was absolutely devestating.

From what i have seen and read, the Liston jab was nearly enough to do the job itself!

Yep. However, if he followed up the left hook he landed on Tyson in the first fight with a right hand, it might have been a different result.

The Klitschko brothers have the highest KO% in heavyweight title history.

Combine that with Morrison giving Lewis AIDS, and JFK not being shot...who knows the world we'd be living in today.

Walcott's left hook was fast sharp and had plenty of snap! An often overlooked KO punch in the division.

Not among the very biggest hitters, but Patterson is a very under-rated puncher. There would not be too much between his left hook & Walcott's, who's had multiple mentions.

Elmer, I hope you're kidding about Ali.

If they can be contenders, I submit my father, charley Norkus. Pretty much a headhunter in his career, he cut short a few opponents from a longer career. Many former fighters such as Jersey Joe Walcott, Tony Zale, and Rocky Graziano told me personally that my father had a punch that was like "getting kicked from a mule". Formally a Right handed fighter, his left was devastating to many opponents and can be seen on tapes of his fights with Danny Nardico, Charlie Powell, Ezzard Charles and Joe Rowan. Just to name a few.

Here is one picture vs Charlie Powell in San Francisco in 1954.

And Here Against Danny Nardico in Miami

Both of these fights were on National Television and can be found on DVD.

Who were the 2 hardest punchers that George Chuvalo had faced in the ring in his professional career of 93 fights
over 20 years 1958-1978?
Here is a clip were he answers that question.
One of the two hardest punchers he names may surprise you.

my pleasure..... If you wish to view more of my fathers fight pictures and read various stories on his career, I started a thread on him which is located in the "Boxers of the past" forum.

The thread is called " Hvyweight Charley Norkus.. friends and foes" and can be usually found on page 1,2 or 3 here in this site.
