Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
Interesting fight on the local scene which I can see happening one day, especially if both guys hold world titles.
Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
I think if it happened at the moment. Katsidis would be to much for Zappa. In a few years who knows though.
Zappa hasnt been tested by anyone near the power of Katsidis.

Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
I hope this fight happens 1 day, as Ben said, it would be unfair on Zappa atm, And i think if they jumped thru the ropes tommorow,Katsidis would cut him to ribbons.
Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
Maybe one day it would be a good scrap, but at the moment, Katsidis would be too much for young Lenny...
Ganoy would be the better oposition for Lenny right now.

ATM I think Katsidis would beat Lenny bad enough that his grand children would have a concussion.Marlin wrote:Katsidis by death.
Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
would be a great fight prime for prime. big risk for katsidis to have to wait too long and be past it, and then i feel it would be pointless.
having said that, if mick can get past marquez, and lenny can go on to win the ibf strap how good would a uni bout be here in australia?
great for the sport here anyways. two guys that actually have a go, fighting each other to unify a div.
much better than some other "ppv" level fighters and what they have served up of late.

Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
Totally agree about the Uni bout, but i would want Lenny if he won the IBF strap to have 2-3 serious fights, his last fight wasn't his best and he got cut badly, this next fight will tell you everything you need to know about young Lenny , the bloke he's facing i've seen fight a couple of timesbigred83 wrote:would be a great fight prime for prime. big risk for katsidis to have to wait too long and be past it, and then i feel it would be pointless.

and is a beast, he'll keep coming forward all night long, so Lenny will need to be extra fit for this bout.

Both men have major fights before the end of the year. Let's consider them before crystal ball gazing.
Time is on Lenny's side. He is only 22.

Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
When asked about the fight lenny told me
Anson Wainwright - Is a fight with Katsidis possible or are you good friends? How big do you think that fight would be?
Lenny Zappavigna - No, we’ve chosen our path and he’s got his. It would be a shame to destroy two great Australian fighters like they did with Lester Ellis and Barry Michaels. Why destroy two great Australian fighters?
However you'd have to think that if Katsidis can beat Marquez & Zappa could beat Vazquez that there would be to much money for it not to happen.

Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
provided both fighters go on to win their respective title matches, it could be one of the biggest fights in aussie boxing history if promoted correctly. having said that, from some posts on other threads it appears that mick wont be coming home anytime soon due to some jail time awaiting him(im completely unsure of the situation so apologise if im off the mark here) so the fight would have to be held overseas, which would be a massive shame in itself. that coupled with the comments lenny made on a certain radio show, already mentioned on here i dont think it will happen, but best of luck to both guys either way they travel. both are still in my fave 3 or 4 aussie fighters to watch and im sure are heading towards big things in their own way

Katsidis did his time for an assault years ago and has not been in any trouble since. You have not been taking notice of the Sunday papers have you?bigred83 wrote:provided both fighters go on to win their respective title matches, it could be one of the biggest fights in aussie boxing history if promoted correctly. having said that, from some posts on other threads it appears that mick wont be coming home anytime soon due to some jail time awaiting him(im completely unsure of the situation so apologise if im off the mark here) so the fight would have to be held overseas, which would be a massive shame in itself. that coupled with the comments lenny made on a certain radio show, already mentioned on here i dont think it will happen, but best of luck to both guys either way they travel. both are still in my fave 3 or 4 aussie fighters to watch and im sure are heading towards big things in their own way

Exactly, I've been hearing people still carrying on about this for 2 or 3 years, it's dust, it's done.Brute wrote:Katsidis did his time for an assault years ago and has not been in any trouble since. Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
I think the comments on here are more in relation to the alleged "Import Infringements" that the Federal Police would like to speak to Kat about, not the assault he has already done is time for. Anton has been saying it for a while and I have read it elsewhere. Apparently there were quiet a few uniformed federal police at his brother's funeral in toowoomba last week just in case Kat did rock up.Hounddawg wrote:Exactly, I've been hearing people still carrying on about this for 2 or 3 years, it's dust, it's done.Brute wrote:Katsidis did his time for an assault years ago and has not been in any trouble since. I am only going off what I have read on here and in no way am I saying I believe it.
Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
i'M SURE IF YOU ASK kATSIDIS HE'D SAY HE DIDN'T DO IT, END OF STORY, NOTHING TO SEE HERE.
Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
Maybe, I wouldn't have clue. I guess no one will ask if he is not in aus to be asked. I am not even sure what the alleged charge was exactly just that someone on here said import infringements. I was just clearing up that the comments are not in relation to his assault.Hounddawg wrote:i'M SURE IF YOU ASK kATSIDIS HE'D SAY HE DIDN'T DO IT, END OF STORY, NOTHING TO SEE HERE.

I know mate, not having a go, just think some things are best left unsaid and definately not repeated, as far as the source go's on this forum or others, it's highly unlikely the source which is in this part of the world has any farken Idea what he's talking about and just running his mouth.
And to add to that it's border line being a farken Dog, what do people believe that coppers, feds don't read forums.
Re: Katsidis v Zappavigna who wins
like i said, wasnt sure of the situation, merely just observing the fact that if there was any truth to the comments made then chances are fight wouldnt happen here. but if its not true then its not true. and i am fully away that half of what you read is lies and the other half is bullshit when it comes to news papers, haha. like i said, merely an observation if it were true.Brute wrote:Katsidis did his time for an assault years ago and has not been in any trouble since. i should have worded it "MAY NOT be coming home" instead of "WONT" yea?
either way still think they are two of our better fighters to watch and cant wait to see mick in action against JMM. good luck to him, i think hes due for a big win honestly.
