Its looking like Primetime for Froch.

Post by stujones »

Primetime have updated their site and looks like they will be showing Froch vs Abraham - it says "full details soon" - so... no sign of how much it will cost.

Any signs of the Johnson vs Green bout being shown anywhere (I'm more interested in the main event).

Even if Froch were to win this Super 6 he'd probably come out of it with people still not knowing who he is, its a shame a PPV like Haye-Harrison will get all the buys, all the coverage and Froch-AA will go largely unnoticed amongst the general sport fans.

I think the only chance for JuanMa-Marquez is a last minute job on Premier Sports, but that looks unlikely at this stage. Sky should have picked it up.

hennesey said in boxing news last month that Froch earns more from Primetime than he would on Sky Sports.

No 'contract' mate.

Sky offered about 110k for a FOTY candidate.

Basically less than 5% of the fighter's total purses.

Froch is very well know in America, more than any allegedly or rival promoter's fighter.

I think it suits him, as he often said he would rather be the Michael Owen than the David Beckham when it comes to fame.

He's no plans for an iphone app or becoming an actor.

Sky obviously don't like Hennessy, that's all there is to it! Why don't any of his fighters get on Sky if it isn't the case? I remember a few years ago Froch was on Sky, back in the days of the Robin Reid fight etc, he was really seeming to get some momentum in terms of public interest.

Then it seemed to all fall apart when the ITV stuff fell apart just as it seemed he was ready for lift off. It pisses me off cos he is one of the best fighters we have and he should be getting exposure, whether he says it doesn't bother him or not!

this is why we should support the likes of primetime and premier sports. Sky has treated the fans like mugs for years.

Bloody disgrace that Sky can't get their act together and show what will be an absolute corker of a fight. I'll be in Cardiff that day watching the Wales v New Zealand rugby match but am hoping to find somewhere that will be showing it afterwards. I studied in Cardiff for a year 5 years ago but not sure where will be showing it on Primetime. Any ideas?

I have always thought Froch gets a lot of stick from the Americans.Judging by the US websites, the Boxing fans know who Froch is but really dont rate him.
