i cant believe ste is above paul :o :o :o :o

i am a massive fan of swifty iv watched him for years and i consider myself to be a friend of his, but im sure even if you where to ask him does he deserve to be above his brother he would laugh.

i dont know if you have done that to have a go at paul or if you really believe he should be above him but let me tell you with out a shadow of a doubt that is ridiculous :oo :oo :oo

ste may go on to win a world title and i for 1 believe he is going to be massive, but that doesnt mean he should be above his brother who has had many more fights defended his title on a few occasions and has only 1 loss on his c.v.

every1 is entitled to there opinion but i honestly believe 99% of people would not have swifty above smigga at this stage in there careers :TU:

robpalmer135 wrote:Would have Burns ahead of Munroe now and Cleverly behind both.
Burns' win against Martinez was good, but he was inactive before that win, and I don't think that his one good win is enough to move him up to 4th place straight away.
robpalmer135 wrote:John Murray, Stephen Smith should be lower. Audley and Duddy should not be ranked.
Who should go above Murray? Stephen Smith is possibly a couple of places too high. Harrison won the European title recently, so I don't think him being on the list is unreasonable.

Duddy has some decent wins on his record, so I think him being in the rankings is deserved. Duddy is very likely to fall out of the rakings this month, though.
robpalmer135 wrote:and as I say every month, its time to drop Nicky Cook.
There is a good chance Cook will fall out of the rankings next month. There is no need to take him out at this point.
robpalmer135 wrote:Biran Magee, Darren Barker, Alafoabi and Ajose should be higher. Paul Smith 100% top 30.
I think Magee's position is fair, but if he was a few places higher that would be reasonable as well. Barker has only had one fight this year and he didn't perform very impressively, so I think his current position is high enough at the moment. Afolabi and Olusegun have both only had one fight this year as well, so it is difficult to keep their rankings up.

If Smith beats DeGale in December then he should enter the rankings.

Stuart Hall will probably enter the list if he beats Gary Davies later this month.
smoggy7188 wrote:How do Witter and Cook get in the list when neither have fought in the last year and they both lost in their last outings? If Ola Afolabi had the concentration to fight for the 12 rounds he would be a world champion, underated fighter.
Witter and Cook were both World champions and they both lost their last fights in World title fights.

Afolabi has been too inactive. I believe he has signed with the Klitschko brothers now, and he has another fight scheduled for December, so hopefully he will be more active now.

Smigga is blatantly being left off because Horse doesnt like him!!!You cant put in a few of these in on accomplishment ahead of Smith. Were Audley's wins over Barrett and Sprott any better than Smith's over Quigley and Dodson?Or Webb's over Small and Conception. Its just mad and spoils the list, and i am not scouse and have never met Smith in my life.I just hope being left off Horses list does not interupt his training for Degale

Id say the Sprott ko is why Harrison is ahead of Smigga...beating Quigley&Dodson isnt they same result, yeah Audley was losing against Sprott but pulled it out the bag...But defo Smigga should be in there instead of Sam Webb....

Froch and Khan have probably got better wins than Haye over the last two years, so I can see why would have them above Haye.

If Froch beats Abraham he will almost certainly go above Haye and if Khan beats Maidana then he might overtake Haye as well.

There should be no "IF" about it. You clearly base your judgement on quality of opponents faced or beaten.
Froch's last 4 fights are better than any 4 Haye and Khan will have in the future.

Tommy Gunn13 wrote:Good ratings but id put Magee,McCloskey&McDonnell above Hatton...
Hatton has been more active than the others and I think his recent opposition has been slightly better.
Tommy Gunn13 wrote:I also agree with Smigga how can you rate Webb instead of him??
I think Webb's recent wins against Small and Concepcion are better overall than Smith's recent wins against Quigley and Dodson.

Also, the fighters at the bottom of the rankings were weaker last month than they were in March after Smith beat Dodson, so it was easier for Webb to earn a place than it was for Smith.

Chisora's best wins are against Sexton and Williams. I don't think I could justify putting him too many places higher at the moment.

I wasn't aware that Maccarinelli had retired. Mitchell isn't inactive and hasn't retired. Cook will probably drop out of the rankings in the next couple of months and Witter is making a comeback in December.

Sprott had become more or less a continental journeyman and was a substitute when Audley beat him.Quigley and Dodson have never been journeymen.

So was Afolabi, and he lost to the world number 1 at the weight (almost stopping him in the 5th). He's been more active than both the fighters you mentioned also (winning a shutout last month). I don't understand your reasoning.

He should be top 10 minimum

Smith has also defended once and does not have bad opposition. I think it is a case of inconsistency. I think you should admit you are wrong! :TU:

Due to his win against Siproshvili, Afolabi overtook Olusegun and Cook. I could have moved him up a few more places, but I didn't consider it to be a good win.

Stephen Smith beat John Simpson who was on the list at the time. Paul Smith does not have a win as good as that.

Harrison's win against Sprott was for the European title and he knocked him out. If Smith had beat Quigley in more convincing fashion then he would have entered the rankings.

I think Webb's wins against Small and Concepcion are better than Smith's wins against Quigley and Dodson.
