Froch doesn't go far above 12st i don't think.

world level, Juan Diaz at 135 and Judah at 147 decent examples they come into ring very close to 135/ 147.

i think mostly though most fighters will be draining at least a stone or so...?

Barrera wasn't putting on much or anything extra at 130.

but at british level i would be fascinated to hear any responses from the pros on here, as to how much weight they and their gym-mates have to lose to get down to weights, how much it affects them, etc etc etc

Rendall Munroe, for one, i would be fascinated to hear what he walks round (fit) at- looking at him he looks 10stone absolute minimum.

i get the feeling there is at least one name of a fighter who fights at what is basically his natural trained weight, but its slipping my mind. Gavin Rees at 140 didn't look to put any on after the weigh-in.

Edit: I suppose it depends what the question is asking. Yes, Hopkins doesn't go much over 190 lbs in between fights, but no, 175 is not his natural weight.

Zab Judah actually weighs a similar amount in the ring as he does as the weigh in. He only gains a few pounds, even at light welterweight. He's the best example I know of.

I remember reading an interview in Ring Magazine a few months back with Carl Froch, and he said that when he was younger his walk around weight was around 12 stone 2lbs, but now as he has got older he weighs around 12 stone 7lbs-12 stone 9lbs, but puts it down to his Polish genes.

Pacquiao does put on some weight in between fights, but I think it's very little. He's something like 148 lbs at the moment, after a training session. He'll probably weigh in near that. It's funny, because Pacquiao used to be one of the most extreme weight drainers, putting on 17 lbs from the weigh in to the fight!

Not so sure about Nelson...whilst he was never out of shape inbetween fights, there was no way he was walking around at 192-193

I remember when his cruiserweight bout got cancelled the week of the fight, instead of weighing in at 190 he weighed in at 206.

which suggests he walked around at about 14lbs over his fighting weight.

obviously for his last few outings the limited had gone up to 200lbs which was presumably much closer his walking round weight
