Don't know what you guys where expecting. This was never going to be a slugfest. Their was nothing suspicious about the fight. Kindelan didn't go after Khan because he didn't want to get caught in his last fight. Khan has had virtually no amatuer career so I think beating Kindelan was pretty damn impressive. Khan amatuer career has finished on about 25 fights, if that. Even Hatton had about 90. Hope he gets a good trainer now. Prefer him to go train in the US but that probably aint gonna happen.
close mate, Kelley said it to Naseem, funny interview though.he cannot use that, Naseem used that prior to the Kelly fight, was funny as fcuk.
Anyway word from a friend of a friend of someone on the internet says Khan couldn't lose the fight tonight if he tried, prob a guess though based on the good business sense it makes to have Khan win just before turning pro. Difficult to imagine I know with the amateur scoring live on tv etc, but even if there was no funny business I still think the scoring was a little wide in Khans favour.
anyone staying up for the Tito fight ?

That was not the real Kindelan in there tonight. I am 100% sure he let Khan win although it was closer than the final score was. He never got out of first gear and there is no doubt he held back and lost purposely. The only question left to be answered is did Kindelan get paid for doing it? OR, did he do it out of respect to Khan as they seem to get on well?

Not surprised one bit.Southpaw Stylist wrote:Allegedly Kindelan got 100K, and or a passport.
Total crap. :x
One big PR job.
Was it that big a surprise Khan won?? he fought in front of his own crowd, which meant every time he landed anything the crowd erupted prompting atleast three of the judges to press their buttons.
Kindelan looked as if he treated it as what it was, a totally unimportant exhibition purely designed to hype Khan and sell him to the public and more so to ITV.
Amateur and pro are so different, a fighter needs the hunger to succeed, most reports point to Khan believing his own hype already, we may witness another Audley.
Give me Kevin Mitchel anyday, he is just as talented and with Khan turning over with `Mr Allegedly`Mitchel will only improve without all the bullshit to distract him.
I can`t believe they hyped that shit up so much

I though Khan fought an excellent fight and should be given credit. He has been working up to this fight for months he comes out and puts on an excellent performance and some of you try and reduce the credibility of this by saying that Kindelan was somehow payed off.
Why does the glass always have to be half empty?
It looks like we've got one of the hotetst prospects in the game and the people can't wait to start putting him and his achievements down, it is truly unbelievable
If some of you lot won the lottery you'd be saying "Well money won't but me happiness, I'll probably end up over indulging and ruining my life :( "

Don't get me wrong, Khan looked good in there but the RESULT was just rigged. It was obvious to any person with eyes. Which is disappointing because if Khan had beaten the real Kindelan, and an on form Kindelan, we would be on the edge of our seats about Khan going pro. But as it stands, I couldn't care less.Chesney_Chambers wrote:I though Khan fought an excellent fight and should be given credit. Why would Kindelan let Khan win? He wouldn't currupt the sport.
Why did he use Peter Kay's song as his entrance music!
Why would he take the money when he has turned down better offers in the past?Allegedly Kindelan got 100K

It wasn't obvious to any with eyes that Kindelan threw the fight, it might not have been one of Kindelans best performances, but a a large reason for this is how well Khan boxed. If you couldn't care less about Kahn turning pro, then I'd find another sport follow if I were you.
It is obvious to anyone with eyes or a molecule of boxing knowledge that Khan is one of the hottest prospects in the game.
Why would Kindelan throw the final fight of his career? Don't suggest he was paid off, because if he was that money orientated then he wouldn't have stayed as an amateur Cuban boxer.
Why would he risk tarnishing his whole amazing career by being paid off in his last fight, if it ever came to light that thats what he had done, he would instantly lose his superstar status in Cuba which he has spent 18 years perfecting
I won't be replying to any more of your posts because you are obviously a simpleton.

the whole production was awful.
it started out ok with the contender theme, which is pretty awesome, but what the fornicate was with the introducing celebrities!?! who gives a shit!?
i'm still undecided about whether the kindelan threw the fight. even though hes a counterpuncher and khan wasnt leaving himself open, ive never seen kindelan so ineffective
in any case do people know if amir's fights are gonna be on itv or sky?

Exactly. This 'fight' was a joke. No idea how much appearence money Kindelan got but I'm sure it was a decent few quid for a Cuban amateur. If Khan had really wanted a rematch he should have chased down every touranment Kindelan was in since Athens instead of this farce being set up for him not to fail in.knockout wrote:despite not seeing the fight, it is clearly a case of Kindelan not showing up to win.... Amir just isnt good enough for a 100 percent Kindelan full stop...
I'd like to see how Khan got on against Kindelan in the final of a tournament in front of 20,000 Cubans in Havana.

Though I suppose if Khan was Scottish it would have been the best performance you'd ever seen.neil r wrote:Well Khan done him on points 19-13 . he fought well, even against a fighter almost twice his age... far from a classic though, lets watch the press go wild now and blow everything out of proportion...

I hadn't noticed any bias whatsoever toward Scottish fighters in Neils posts....Loftgroov wrote:Though I suppose if Khan was Scottish it would have been the best performance you'd ever seen.neil r wrote:Well Khan done him on points 19-13 . he fought well, even against a fighter almost twice his age... far from a classic though, lets watch the press go wild now and blow everything out of proportion...
