Haye could use a blow to his mega ego and if he takes Audley lightly, he definitely lose.

I can't believe how many people have voted for Harrison!

What's wrong with everyone!! For the first time in years we have a genuine world class heavyweight, who only 18 months ago everyone was cock a hoop about, and now because he's seen as cocky or dodging fights with the K brothers - even though for all we know it's to do with contracts - we're all supporting Audley. The man who deservedly gets ruined on here for wasting his talent, having no balls and talking even more shit than Haye!!

This is why we Brits are shit at sport! We have the wrong mentality for it! We prefer an amiable loser to a cocksure winner. If this was two Aussie fighters and a poll of Aussies, a loser like Harrison wouldn't even get a vote!

Spot on.

If Harrison wins, fair play to him but it's another few nails in the coffin for the Heavyweight Division.

Not true. We aren't shit at sport, not by a long way. Why do people always bring up the Aussies and their fantastic mental attitude when it comes to sport? granted, they are shit hot when it comes to swimming and Rugby League(those two powerhouses of international sport!) but we finished above them in the medal table at the Olympics and as for Boxing, they would like a top 100 heavyweight let alone two fighting for a world title.

Seems to me people are annoyed because Haye has back tracked on his promise to fight the best and is taking easy fights so are turning against him. compare that to Mundine in super Aussieland who doesn't fight anybody but gets full houses everywhere he goes down under and lauded from pillar to post. Thats far more indicative of the mental attitude of the two nations me thinks

I voted Harrison for my own reasons but I agree a Haye win would be better for the overall British scene, as in him we have someone who could conceivably continue to fight and win at world level for another 5 or 6 years. Even if Harrison somehow transforms into a world-beater at 39, he won't have much of a title run in him.

I cant believe the amount of people who want harrison to win! It will be bad for heavyweight boxing, british boxing and world boxing.
I know people say that it will serve him right because he should fight the klits but come on I have never known a world champion to have to agree to what they want so why should he? The reason why this show has sold out and getting big pay per view shows is because of haye. Ok some might be because they generally believe that there could be a massive upset but if that was to happen the press hype for harrison would dwindle far quicker than for haye. And at the end of the day boxing needs massive press hype for people to get interested, it needs personalities and haye fits in more than harrison even if it is just for the fact that hes a small heavy weight with supposed big punching power and a suspect chin. If harrison wins he is more than likely to flop in his next fight whereas haye would give a good account for himself. I would of wanted harrison to win this 5 or 6 years ago when he seemed to be still relevant but if he was to win now it would be worse than if holyfield or jones jr won a heavyweight title again and lets face it that would be shameful even though theyre former greats.

I like Haye a lot. But it would make things interesting if Harrison did it - he does have the tools and the skills and I really do believe he will go out on his shield on Saturday meaning he has a helluva chance of pulling this off - he has size, weight, reach, height advantages, is a southpaw, fast and a sharp puncher - like Joe Bugner - if he turns up to fight then my money is on him for sure.

Would it be bad for boxing if Harrison won? You would get 24/7 coverage of the big feller talking crap and rubbing it into everyones face - would he hold onto the title for long? Probably not, I have no doubt he would get outpointed by someone like Chris Arreola in his first defence and make a million excuses why he lost before retiring into the sunset in self emposed exile.

It's better for us that Haye wins but Harrison will have a big say in that and if the right one turns up - there will be egg on some face sunday morning - you bethca! :TU:

Either way, this is going to be the mother of all "I told you so" fights. Either Haye wins easily and all those who decried it as a mismatch (yet still stumped up their 15 quid, not that they'll admit it) will be basking in the glow of having their cynicism vindicated, or somehow Harrison scores the upset and his supporters will be smuggest bastards this side of a massage parlour test-driver.

Sorry Hagler - I think your a good poster and all - but I totally disagree.

Haye has turned into everything bad about boxing since he became a Champion.

Haye is not about boxing anymore - he is about the lifestyle and money.

Haye only fights once every 6 months - max - just to keep the liefstyle rolling along.

I hope the Klits are ringside to really spur Haye on, and then we have a WWE style in-ring contract signing at the end. Aaaahh I can only dream... :verysad:

And how exactly has Haye been good for heavyweight boxing??
Its very clear he wants nothing to do with taking the K-brothers on ...all he does is spout off, then hide away.

What would be good for the heavies is if Chisora wins. Then we will have a geuine guy willing to fight the divisions top guys. Not another guy just threatening..

He unified the crusierweight division, moved to heavyweight and won the WBA title, and defended it against his mandatory, did Audley winning prizefighter impress you more?

I wouldn't fight the Klits either with the demands they are making!

Can't believe so many have voted for Harrison.

Also can't believe the Hype machine has got so many people believing this is an even fight. Boxing fans must be getting as fickle as football fans.

I don't think that's quite fair. He's so far faced his mandatory so he doesn't get stripped (and lose his bargaining tool) and now he's fighting in a very lucrative fight in what I see as a low risk, high reward (cash) fight. After this if he continues to avoid the Klitschko's fair enough. But I'm not going to begrudge him for fighting his mandatory and taking a massive payday (this fight will do massive PPV numbers in Britain) for a relatively easy nights work (in my eyes).

On a related note, I've had nine people who barely know anything about boxing ring me regarding this fight and several people ask me in person. British Hype overdrive = casual/non sports fan interest = £££££

I really can't believe anybody honestly thinks Audley has a chance. This is the biggest disgrace of a heavyweight title fight for years. It's making a mockery out of boxing and I for one (just a humble fan) am disgusted that Fraudley is even getting a shot.

I find it amusing to hear people try to justify Hayes hype by bringing up what he did at cruiserweight...

Lets be honest. He didn't exactly stay around long to clear up there did he? And at heavyweight he has been very boring to watch.

I'm hoping Audley wins - but expecting Haye to do it.
Either way, not too bothered because they both only talk a good fight..

I can't go for someone who has avoided ever fighting anyone in the top twenty in ten years, yet talks of themself as world championship material. So for that reason alone i go for Haye.
