A good friend and former pro fighter, Pablo Caripides, passed away last Wednesday, May 11, in Canton, Ohio. His pro career was cut short due to a shoulder injury after a successful amateur career in the U.S. Army. He was trained first by former lightweight champion Sammy Angott of Massillon, Ohio and later by Angelo Dundee. His obituary can be found on website of The Canton Repository.
After his career ended he also refereed many fights, including the fight between Marion Conner and Greatest Crawford, in which Crawford suffered fatal injuries. Pablo will be missed by many, including the numerous young amatuer fighters from the Canton area that he helped get started.

fought back in the 70s around ohio. i believe he fought in canton. also george jacobs fought around that time. in fact i think they ramsey and jacobs fought each other. any imfo would be great* thanks from the warrior*
