i do the same i its a fight im not too fussed about , but i suppose the hype got me in the mood to watch it on the tv , i always said rd 3 haye stoppage (not ko) , i said it all along , so its people like me that are the fools , weve allowed that fight to happen by talking with our wallets , if no one paid for it or bought tickets etc , haye would have picked up a mysterious injury to get out the fight and it would have done us all a favour

The main event was farcicul, you would think at the age of 39 you must realise this is your one and only chance so you would at least go down fighting! But no instead throw around 10 punches and crack as soon as any real pressure was put on him, really poor performance! The German TV showed Licina vs Cora and it was actually a cracker both gave it a real go and it was a very good, close fight. I'm glad I didn't buy Ppv now

I started a thread ages ago saying none of us should buy this mis-match. Copped a lot of hate for it, and haven't really posted since. It's nice to be vindicated. Still a big Haye fan, but I didn't buy it, didn't watch it (went to a party and watched the inevitable KO on youtube when I got in) just like I said I wouldn't, and now he's earned his big money from this farce I hope he takes a proper fight. Chagaev, Povetkin, Adamek, anybody: I'll pay and if it's in Britain I'll come and watch. Klitschko? Either bro, I'll pawn the family silver for a good seat.

Go easy mate, you`re not the only genius on here who said the fight was a marketing hyped mismatch.

Most people said Audley COULD win, but won`t win. That`s exactly what happened.

In the defence of people who said Audley had a chance, well, the probability was bloody low. But the thing is, boxing is different to a lot of other sports with regards to predicting an outcome. If you talk about football and Man Utd are playing Doncaster Rovers, providing Man Utd play their first XI, they'll win with relative ease. However, in boxing there is always a "puncher's chance". Audley is a big fella. Bigger than David. You see it a lot in UFC, one mistimed move and *BOOM* a big right-hand lands on the button. If Doncaster Rovers score a fluke goal, chances are they will still end up losing 4-1. But one flash overhand right, and it's game over in boxing at times.

So, from that point of view I don't necessarily hold it against those who thought Audley stood a 'chance'. But... if you actually thought Audley would go out there and do a number on David, then you're an idiot!

Anyway, all involved did what they had to to sell a fight. Marketing, plain and simple. The reality is that this fight should never have happened in the first place. Perhaps if the division hadn't been such a mess (for the past 6 or more years), then it would never have registered as possible bout at all.

No, my original point back when I made it was that the match up sucked, that boxing fans should show some dissent and not buy crappy fights. If people don't buy a product because it's bad they have to make the product better or come up with something different altogether. This was back when Haye-Harrison was being negotiated but was not formally announced. Some people told me I was talking crap and that they were looking forward to the match up, even back then. This is why we get bad fights, because we just believe the hype and let them happen. Personally, I think Haye's KO of Audley will look great on his highlight reel, but that's all it's good for. I just can't believe the people who know about boxing still moaning about what happened in that ring when you all knew, deep down, that it was exactly how it was always going to play out: cagey first round, both lads feel each other out. 2nd or 3rd, Haye jumps on Audley who panics and throws nothing getting taken out in the process. Thanks for the 'genius' tag, but sarcasm aside it really didn't take a rocket scientist.

And I DO feel sorry for Audley. He really looked an idiot doing exactly what he has done in the ring for years and years and he got his arse handed to him. I hope that his delusional nature allows him the peace of mind to forgive himself for his dreadful performance. If it was me I would have walked into the sea already. Apologies if the jibe wasn't directed at me, but I don't think if you read my post properly I'm claiming to be any sort of Nostadamus like figure. Like I said, we ALL knew the most likely outcome. So moaning about it now just seems silly.
