Silly question would you slag off your boss/paymester on a public forum.

Sky should have insisted on a stronger undercard for their paying public AND they then in turn should have shown the undercard fights live.

UFC know how to do a PPV and it doesnt consist of 2 live fights, half a delayed fight and hours of hype and 'analysis'

Also showing adverts at all during a ppv is a liberty in my eyes; showing adverts between rounds during the main event is a down right disgrace.

Any comments Ed?

No but I would hope he will feedback the frustration and disdain to his boss.

The customers are the real paymasters, or at least they should be.

I thought it was a fantastic production and build up by SKY.

Hopefully the 'two to tango' lesson has been well and truly learned though.

The event merited the PPV.....you can't know if a fight will be sh1t until after.

But hype-wise was def ppv - though there were only 3 fights.

You gotta rememeber Haye is a UK heavyweight champ.....Khan vs Presott and Khan vs Fagan were PPV and they were dreadful

Do's and Donts For future sky ppv shows - Feel free to add any ive missed

Do Insist on a descent undercard

Do Show as many of these fights live as possible

Do Hype the fight - it was a good hype job and will generate more interest for boxing if the right fights are shown

Dont have adverts whatsoever on a ppv

Dont put fights that you know wont add value for money as main event ppv's - Must think long term buys rather than short term gains

Dont expect us to pay for a Haye v Harrison rematch - dont even think about it - no matter how much money it made

:TU: i think for all his faults allegedly showed us what a PPV bill should be with his Mag 7 bill. I wasnt happy at paying for that completly because it lacked a true top of the bill fight / world title fight but what it did do was give us decent match ups
Agreed , but unfortunately for me i missed that one , although cant complain as it was the night my baby son was born

I don't think Ed's in a position to answer this, you ought to direct your question at Adam Smith as he's now the new Head of Boxing at Sky.

Anyone hear that clown from Leeds who phoned up Radio 5 crying that he'd been fooled by media hype into buying the PPV?

I did wonder if it was someone trolling but he just sounded totally retarded.

The guy from ESB..wow...what a moron.

The only person that made any sense was the American woman. She was spot on and the guy (ex boxer?) in the studio was left stammering and coming out with complete nonsense in return.

I've no problem with the coverage, but the lack of fights was shocking. More padding out than a loony bin!

I've no idea why they couldn't show us the whole Hall v Davies fight. It lasted 7 rounds and they were clearly filling, talking about some bloody incident with the gloves, my god who cares? We had to listen to the commentary about how Hall had him in trouble in round 6 but skipped showing us the round. Both guys had headlined a Friday fight night and up until a few days ago it was the best fight on the undercard. What if Groves v Toney had gone ahead?

The main event was dreadful but Sky seemed to be the guys pushing for it, they can hardly have their presenters and commentators turn round and basically say "we've been conned as well"
