Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
Just browsing other forums that im not a member of whilst waiting for pacman / margarito and saw on 2 different smaller forum that People are saying Cornelius Bundrage is considering an offer to make Ryan Rhodes his first defence of his IBF light middleweight title , i dont know much about Bundrage other than what i saw on the contender so cant comment on whether i rate rhodes chances or anything , just thought id mention it on here as i think rhodes is quite well liked on here and im sure there will be someone on here with an inside track on things

I'd give Rhodes a serious chance with Bundrage.

Definitely.
Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
It would be about time. Rhodes seems to have been waiting forever for a title shot.
Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
Bundrage is not a good world champion, Rhodes would have a very good shot. I would pick him to win that fight.
Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
Bundrage ain't bad. He can definitely punch. Still, better Bundrage than Martinez or Williams, at least Rhodes would have half a chance.
Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
Ryan will beat bundrage of that I am sure!!! Ryan is a world Class fighter...
Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
Hatton need to get bunerage as soon as!

hes already had 2 and failed hes lucky hes in a position to fight for a third attemt at a world title not many boxers get them chancesgreenyox3 wrote:It would be about time. Rhodes seems to have been waiting forever for a title shot.
Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
I wouldn't say that he's lucky as you're not looking at context - it's more than 11 years since his last attempt!moorser wrote:hes already had 2 and failed hes lucky hes in a position to fight for a third attemt at a world title not many boxers get them chancesgreenyox3 wrote:It would be about time. Here's a man who was written off and described as shot 8 years ago when losing to Lee Blundell, yet has come back in a lower weight divison to put himself into genuine world title contention - it's a real-life Rocky story and I can't imagine anyone would really begrudge him the opportunity.
To paraphrase Keegan, I would love it, love it, love it if he got this shot as i'm in agreement with others that Bunderage represents his best chance of winning a world title. If he pulls it off, it'll be the perfect end to an incredible story.

especially after taking mooresy's ranking :!: is it the curse of moore :!: the moore waiting saga :!:greenyox3 wrote:It would be about time. Rhodes seems to have been waiting forever for a title shot.
Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
I hope this happens. There is no point in talking about the WBC and Rhodes. Plain and Simple, Bob Arum calls all the shots in that division not the WBC.

Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
I would give him a great chance over Bundrage who isn't great but is akward. Rhodes deserves a shot and I'm sure he'll take it with both hands (similiar to the way audley did
)
Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
I think he deserves it.
He's looked quality at light middle and (I might be wrong) not sure he's lost at that weight.
Seems to be a bit inactive though, who's his promoter?

Im not saying he is underserving...but i can see him being beaten by the chap who beat Matt Hall....Ryan Rhodes is far from world class, yes he beat Jamie Moore....Both were top performers but both would be beaten before title shots....Unfortunetly yes both deserverd a chance, but both would be beaten at a level below....
Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
I think Rhodes gives old K9 nightmares, think he would just be too quick for him. Would really like to see it made.

I'd love to see Ryan win a proper world title, definitely one of my favourite fighters at the moment. Funny, really didn't enjoy watching him during the Spice Boy era, thought he was just a poor man's Naz to be honest, but with maturity he's grown into such a smart, capable fighter, really switched on. I really hope he gets his shot, and sooner rather than later.

Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
Defining "world class" is of course an inexact science, but surely someone firmly esconced in any independent top 10 must be, especially having beaten a top 10 fighter to earn such a status? At the very least, he couldn't be "far from world class", could he??Tommy Gunn13 wrote:Im not saying he is underserving...but i can see him being beaten by the chap who beat Matt Hall....Ryan Rhodes is far from world class, yes he beat Jamie Moore....Both were top performers but both would be beaten before title shots....Unfortunetly yes both deserverd a chance, but both would be beaten at a level below....

Jamie Moore was a top 10 fighter when Rhodes beat him or so they say, neither are WORLD class in my eyes...Good fighters..lesser fighters hav had title fights,so Rhodes might get a shot...oliverfennell wrote:Defining "world class" is of course an inexact science, but surely someone firmly esconced in any independent top 10 must be, especially having beaten a top 10 fighter to earn such a status? I think Bundrage is a bit underrated and would beat Rhodes, but it would be an interesting fight. Hope it comes off, Rhodes deserves another shot.

Re: Rhodes Possible World title shot ?
Good luck to Rhodes he deserve it for sticking around so long I reckon he would have a fair chance against k9, Rhodes has got the style to beat him without a doubt stick and move stick and move. K9 is a bit of a plodder from what iv'e seen of him.
