What is going on with Tony Dodson's come back

Post by josh fg »

Was it supposed to be last friday, if that is the case did it occure and how did it go. Is there something about it on the forum I haven't seen anything.

I hope he has come back as he will add to what is a very attractive devision on a Domestic level and I for one would love to see him face Magee for the European (maybe) or Froch for the British title in a few fights time.

I can't find anything about it either...if Froch beats Barney i think he should fight Dodson and then Magee, he would have more or less taken on every worthwhile challenge then.

Yeh I think thats a fair assesment unless he can get reid too. Having said that I would like to see Dodson get in some of the rust shaken off soon because if he dose then that is a great potencial match up.

Will that win froch the longsdale belt outright or do you have to win it and make fore defences

Dodson pulled out of Friday's fight through injury. I heard a rumour today that Dodson has decided to pack it in because of the injuries. Not sure if it's true though. Tony posts on here himself maybe he could enlighten us all. Shame if it is true as he is a talented fighter.

Any idea what the nature of that injury was, is it one that is likely to keep him out of the ring for long?

Don't give up Tony, you only get one chance at this.

I'd heard he was injured aswell. Was supposed to appear on the first 'Inter-city' bill, but then nothing. I'm suprised he hasn't been on to clear this up. Hope he doesn't retire, he's still young and has got a lot of good possible matchups ahead of him

To be honest, he is probably not in the best of moods at the moment and probably doesn't want to discuss it. I do not blame him, I'm sure he will come on here when good and ready.

Good point. Must be frustrating for him.

Incidently, whats everyone think of this Inter-city boxing. I know its good news for Liverpool fight fans. Can't remember the last time there was a (pro) fight card in the city.
