.. Hopefully! He should use his three mil and take a Masters degree in PR and advertising at one of the campuses of the University of California - he would make more money (and be more successful) than he ever did fighting.

He will hang around at the Stonebridge Adventure Playground telling all the kids about how the BBC and the illuminati conspired to keep him from fulfilling his destiny.
Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
It's the last I will see of him, put it that way.
There's no way I'll read or watch anything on that bloke again when it comes to professional boxing.
Nice bloke, absolutely sh*te fighter.

Definately agreed this time, i have always thought fraudley was a crap fighter but was taken in 100% for this fight. I was fooled. Fraudley will never con me again but like others have said I dont think we will have seen the last of him. But can he fill another arena of 22 thousand people
Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
I've got a feeling that won't be it for Harrison. It should be, but I think he'll find it near impossible to console his ego after last night.

Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
Id like to see him fight Derek Chisora.......then he''ll have the novelty of being beaten by every half decent heavyweight in the british isles apart from Skelton.
Williams
Sprott
Rogan
Haye
Go on Audley make it 5 lol

Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
just watched it on you tube useless fight by frankly useless fighter...harrison was woeful....did he train....did he have a game plan...feel sorry for the mugs who bought tickets/and ppv
Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
Harrison has never fought for the British title. I would like to see him have at least one shot at it before he retires.
Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
Why? he didn't deserve the shot at the Euro title or the World title, if he can beat a Fury or a Big Larry, or Rogan, then he might deserve a go at Chisora (or whoever it is by then), but not off the back of that.

Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
surely he can't walk into a ring in the UK again, he's going to be destroyed by any crowd now. Was brutal the "you're shit and you know you are" that he got as he left the ring last night. He's partly brought it upon himself but IMHO no fighter deserves that when they've trained long and hard and done their best.
Sad thing is that was Audleys best. he just doesn't have a fighters heart. Take the money and run now.

Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
What is his current ranking in Britain.
Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
I think he loses again, but wouldn't be surprised to see Skelton vs Audley match up. Don't think Skelton has any ties to a promoter now, his last outing was on a Barry Hearn bill - so it could be made.
Sad thing is, I think it will still sell out - not the MEN but a decent sized venue. People will still want to see him lose, and yep.... Skelton would beat him hands down also.

I don't think he should be made the mandatory challenger, but he is okay for a voluntary defence.MatthewS wrote:Why? he didn't deserve the shot at the Euro title or the World title, if he can beat a Fury or a Big Larry, or Rogan, then he might deserve a go at Chisora (or whoever it is by then), but not off the back of that.

IMO - not off the back of a loss like that. not like he went ten or twelve hard rounds and got pulled out on a cut - he froze and got spanked, like Ian said in the article - at that moment he was not up to the job of prizefighter. He needs to prove he is before he is allowed to fight for the British title. British should have been the move after Prizefighter, but he was allowed to take the piss and he's reaped the reaction of that.Horse wrote:I don't think he should be made the mandatory challenger, but he is okay for a voluntary defence.MatthewS wrote:Why? he didn't deserve the shot at the Euro title or the World title, if he can beat a Fury or a Big Larry, or Rogan, then he might deserve a go at Chisora (or whoever it is by then), but not off the back of that.

Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
I hope it is the last of Audley Harrison, as after that showing that he gave us on Saturday night he succeeded in only making himself an national joke for his utterly woeful attempt in challenging David Haye last night for the WBA title, after that inept display I reckon no promoter or television network is ever going to go near him unless they need someone to test a hot young prospect coming through
Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
He's terrible, he is actually become a characature of himself
Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
He is still top 10 ranked in Britain and is likely to bring more attention and money to a British title fight than most other British fighters.MatthewS wrote:IMO - not off the back of a loss like that. not like he went ten or twelve hard rounds and got pulled out on a cut - he froze and got spanked, like Ian said in the article - at that moment he was not up to the job of prizefighter. I doubt the BBBofC would reject him as a voluntary defence for the champion.

Is Harrison a flop at the box office? Does he fail to attract television viewers?IRLangmaid25 wrote:I reckon no promoter or television network is ever going to go near him unless they need someone to test a hot young prospect coming through
If Harrison still gets people interested then promoters will want to work with him even if he continues to perform poorly.
Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
id certainly boycott any future fight,he's a good personality & could be a use somwhere else away from a boxing ring.

Re: Is that the last we will c of audley?
Is Audley Harrison a flop of the Box Office: In terms of personality I would say No as he succeeded in drumming up alot of interest in this fight, but in terms of boxing ability when you take into account his physical attributes then I would say Yes he is, as for your second question, we will have to see whether or not he chooses to carry on as fighter before I answer the second question.Horse wrote:Is Harrison a flop at the box office?
