Post by Mimmy »

Brilliant night at the MEN full crowd and an expected finish. After the fight a night in The Victoria, Gentlemens club!!

Was suprised when I was stood at a cash point after the fight a guy was moaning abou tthe outcome! I told him the out come was not a suprise at all and you get what you pay for, You pays your money and you take a chance.

Here is my bill

Fight ticket £62.50
petrol £30 odd quid
booze and titty bar £60
meal in oldham (burger and pint) £10
travelodge £32
Taxi to manchester from travelodge £15
taxi from manchester to travelodge £21
Kebab £3.50
new pair of trousers (debenhams) £30
shirt from Matalan £16

costly night out but well worth it. Great atmosphere

It was shite and the atmosphere was garbage.

I had some prick next to me who started chanting "Audley Audley Audley" two mins later he was shouting "Audley you're a w@nker" this went on for 20 mins he didn't have a clue who he wanted to win

Well it was good where i was sat, didnt see th eundercard, missed the german heavyweight. went to the bog, then got a drink took me nearly 40 minutes. I took my son, whos never been to a live show and a couple of mates. My lad is in the forces and nearly 21 so it was part of his b'day present. He loved it, Cant believe it im seeing famous people, Rio Ferndenand John Terry (i think he said) Bruno, Lennox. up in the 62 quid seats it was a great atmosphere.

Thats not fair we all have to go to our first live show sometime don't we.

Just watched the fight from a tv perspective. Jesus Frauldly certainly mugged me, he looked scared to death.

That's the 3rd time I've been to the MEN and the atmosphere wasn't a patch on the other 2 times.

I was in Letterkenny for the McCloskey fight last month and the atmosphere with about 2000 in the arena even surpassed that last night.

The 40 minutes you spent draining the main vain and getting a pint actually lasted longer than the whole of the undercard.

yeh i know i said to my son i was going for a piss and get a drink and would be back. i left in the 3rd round of theGroves fight i think. I tas bedlem outside, had to queue for about 10 minutes for a slash then the queue was at least 200 deep for a drink. They were pissing themselves when they said i had missed the unbeaten German.

Atmosphere wasn't great, but not bad. Good to see it packed and the majority of the fans showing the boxers some respect.

I've seen a lot of boxing there over the years and the atmosphere probably doesn't make my top ten.

Audley got the respect he deserved he entered the ring to a chorus of boo's and left the ring to the chants of "you're sh1t and you know you are"

My bill:

- £15 petrol
- I was going to pay a fiver for parking but a darling who was leaving in a sports car gave me her ticket which was still valid
- £2.75 pint in Sheffield at midnight after I'd sped back wanting to leave the carnage behind me, drank whilst vacantly staring at my press accreditation which I'd laid on the table in front of me, shaking my head repeatedly, not believing how bad Audley had been

Nothing wrong with that. My old man used to take me all the time.

It did get embarassing once when he was pulled on stage and exposed himself to the crowd of baying pishcarts.
