Lewis and Bruno

Post by Old bones Ian »

Well done Lennox, he got the big ring walk and could of just soaked up the adulation, but he called his old opponent into the ring Frank Bruno and let him get the cheers as well.

These 2 are a credit to the sport , and remind me why i love it

Now there's a point and it reminds me, one of the British announcers used it on one of the very recent Sky shows, maybe the Gavin Rees fight? As far as I am concerned, Buffer had it under copywrite and everyone understood this. Lennox was a spur of the moment thing, but for another announcer to use it ...

Buffer has it registered so technically no one else can use it. It is suggested that he has made over $400mil from trademarking that phrase alone! God knows what he charges to MC, but I'm guessing its six figures!

I know its stunned me - although that figure could be wrong - I think I read it on his Wikipedia page, which as I am sure as you are aware are not always accurate!

Bruno looked trim, but perhaps a little too skinny. It could be he's just fit without hammering the weights so much?

The little interview ringside with Bruno was funny. Mentioned he fancied Haye, and Bruno replied well I'm not gay.

Bruno has never let himself get out of shape.

The same can't be said for Mr Lewis.

Not how I would have worded it, but his struggle with mental issues is well documented.
