How much motivation does Audley have left? I have a feeling he would just show up for a paycheck and turn in a performance similiar to that of the Haye bout....don't throw anything and go down as soon as the opponent turns it on.

Fact is Audley is a decent name to have on your record. We know the truth, but most fans bloody don't. :KO:

You don't think beating Harrison would be a good win for Price?

Why? On the back of being a Bronze medalist?

Look at his record. He has fought nobody of note so far.
A year is plenty of time to get some names on his record. Come on Whicker, get with it!!! :OhYes:

Yeah, but he needs to win the fights, of course.

It's absurd to talk about Price being near a British title shot yet, when all he has fought are really warm-up level bouts.

It would be an unusual experience for Harrison.

Price is about three inches taller than him!

Yes, but it beats the alternative - a NO-figure purse.

Really, if he plans to fight on, this is as good as it will get, both financially and in terms of levels. He is still a big name and for that reason alone will be an attractive proposition for up-and-comers. It worked for Bruce Seldon, who was also a pariah after the Tyson fight.

I'm beginning to wonder about Frank Maloney's sanity.

Does he seriously believe that anybody in Britain wants to see Audley Harrison fighting ANYBODY again? :-?

Audley burnt his bridges with ardent boxing fans many years ago, but he still managed to maintain a high enough standing & profile to dupe casual fight fans in paying £14.99 PPV to watch him wet himself on Saturday

Now that everybody knows what type of a performer he is, there is no way that a fight involving him can be seen as anything other than an unfunny joke.

The sad thing is that plenty of people would go to this. In fact, it would probably sell out the Echo Arena in Liverpool if they had a couple of decent undercard fights. I think that even after the Haye fight a lot of fans still find something intruiging about Audley. Whether it is to see him knocked out or whether it is to see if he can fulfil his potential, people find him interesting.

Think it would be good for David Price to box Audley it would be a good name on his record, and also both Olympians, and it would sell no bother in liverpool :TU:

I think you misunderstood it Horse. I'll reword it:

Fact is, Audley is a decent name to have on your record. We know the truth in the fact he freezes., but the casuals just see AH, that man who fought for the World Title.. :KO:[/quote]You don't think beating Harrison would be a good win for Price?

I don't mean to be cynical or nasty, but lets not get hoodwinked here. (I use the term in a tounge in cheek way- don't take offence.)

How good is Price, really?

Hew can bang, thats for sure. But his Olympic "pedigree" perhaps isn't as good as it sounds. He won one on a stoppage, then won the next (and his medal) due to a pull out because of an injury, then he was stopped by the very talented Italian Roberto Cammarelle.

He looks decent as a pro, but hasn't, yet, really answered many questions (or indeed, been asked to.)

IF and it's a massive, King Sized ultra deluxe "IF" Harrison can get a mojo going, Harrison may well have the advantage here.

Basically, I'd say if it's the same Harrison who won prizefighter, this would, at least, be a decent fight.

I think even the casual fan knows Harrison is a bit of a choke artist, but will he choke against Price?

If Price beats Harrison then he will get much closer to a British title fight.
