Big punch bang on target. Jerome is very powerful.
Re: JEROME WILSON KO OF 2010
Excellent punch agreed, but for me knockout of 2010 was Max Maxwell knocking out Brian Rose.

He looks good, he seems to have good reflexes, range of punches, good defence and power!!!!
I wouldn't say that he looks massive for 140 but right on the limit. Look forward to hearing about his next fight.

Great punch but poor match making. That kid probably wont fight again if he cares for his health. Group one race horse stood next to a donkey off scarbrough beach. No offence to either boxer just my opinion on levels both boxers are at.

Madness. Russian TV gets the Haye undercard, and Britain doesn't. Thailand gets Carl Froch fights on terrestrial TV, Britain gets them on a small PPV channel...whicker wrote:Looks like someone was showing it live. Not sky though. eff sky.

His arms looked huge though.

His back looks huge too.Deadendgeneration wrote:ourkid1984 wrote:He looks good, he seems to have good reflexes, range of punches, good defence and power!!!!

He looks bigger than his pro debut against Greaves.
Re: JEROME WILSON KO OF 2010
I do agree, on reflection , but this was only Wilson's 4th fight, and he has already had two fights go to points, and the other ended on a pull-out.tijuana1 wrote:Great punch but poor match making. Compared to other bouts, the matchmaking seems pretty regular for a prospect.
But Janes does seem to have had a string of KO defeats. Yeah, I agree, not good for him, really.
Thge way he goes down- straight down , and bangs his head really is worrying.
I hope he is OK.

Re: JEROME WILSON KO OF 2010
Look at the opponents record and see how many times he's been stopped before then make your own conclusions
Re: JEROME WILSON KO OF 2010
I know what your saying, and there are gaps in his slate.......but I look among the opponents he has fought and see Paul McCloskey, Martin Lindsay, Stevie Bell, Kevin Mitchell, Derry Mathews, Danny Wallace , Kevin O'Hara , John Simpson , Andy Morris, and Stephen Foster. Thats tough opposition...steelcity 65 wrote:Look at the opponents record and see how many times he's been stopped before then make your own conclusions
Re: JEROME WILSON KO OF 2010
True- although a lot of journeymen have records that could match that level of opposition for quality.JamesH wrote:I know what your saying, and there are gaps in his slate.......but I look among the opponents he has fought and see Paul McCloskey, Martin Lindsay, Stevie Bell, Kevin Mitchell, Derry Mathews, Danny Wallace , Kevin O'Hara , John Simpson , Andy Morris, and Stephen Foster. The difference, of course, is that a typical journeyman isn't often stopped.

terrible matchmaking Janes is shot
Re: JEROME WILSON KO OF 2010
There's usually a tipping point for guys like him, I'd say that Kenna has already hit his and will continue to lose quickly now. Absolutely risible performance from him on Saturday.
Re: JEROME WILSON KO OF 2010
Oh for sure, I'm not saying he's a world beater, far from it... just pointing out that its not just a case of looking at numbers on a record. I do think Wilson deserves credit for doing what he needed to do, and in some style. As for matchmaking, I'd say it was probably a good match for Wilson as he's getting more coverage now than he has before that fight... or at least the coverage on here is now about his boxing rather than his choice of trainer...
Totally agree with the comment about the tipping point though.

Fair point for most of the examples I gave... still good opposition - but valid point.steelcity 65 wrote:all feather and super feather arnt they ??
