People don't have to drink or gamble when they watch boxing. Is boxing any worse for that kind of thing than other sports?

What does he mean by "free mixing"?

You sure it was that reason? Or maybe just that after his reason actions no promoter worth their salt would touch him with a barge pole?

I apologise to Anthony actually for comparing him to Harrison that was uncalled for. Is it definitely his car anyway, I know it says ring Anthony......doesn't he go by something else thesedays like Abdul or something?? Why's he using his non-Islam name to sell it then...?

next week he'll be blowing himself up on a london bus no doubt.

Muslims i dont have a problem with, brain washed or bitter muslims with extreme and silly views i have a problem with.

Burn a flag and some poppies its fine with them, draw a picture of muhammad and all hell breaks loose.

From his youtube video earlier in the year it shows he's poorly informed about foreign affairs and not too bright.

Fair play to someone for standing by their beliefs but maybe he should cut the rest of the shit stirring stuff out. Especially considering he wast even muslim this time last year.

it's a pity because although he wasn't as good as he thought he was, or would become, he was very awkward and 90% of the time would come to fight. Interesting character.
I don't hold people's beliefs against them and I don't just assume that what the British troops are up to is right just because some sap of a politician tells me it's in this country's interests...........but burning the Poppy is just ignorant and disrespectful in the extreme.........whether he knew that's what would be going on when he went on his protests, or condoned it personally I have no idea. Couldn't hope to have a career in the public spotlight in this country after that, which was silly, as he was decent.

i think some people have already got a very firm grip on him.....he should thank their PR guys for helping him sh*t his career right down the pan and leaving him a hundred grand or so out of pocket.

I worry for him and I also worry for the safety of the general public with people like him walking amongst us. We are living in an age of tolerance, where people will tolerate any views, even the most extreme, pretty much until that person does something like a terrorist act.

Personally, I think it is time we took a firmer stance with people like this, they are VERY dangerous to themselves and to others. He has been brainwashed and is obviously a pretty lonely, vulnerable and mentally unstable person. He has the perfect profile of a potential bomber - totally brainwashed and prone to extreme attention seeking.

What do I suggest for these types of people, I am not even sure of that myself, but I do not think they should be allowed to walk around with everyday folks trying to live normal lives in a country like the UK, He should basically go and live in an Islamist state if he has such strong beliefs.

The retirement thing is laughable, he is deluded, he lost his birtish belt and no promoter will touch him now cos of his outbursts, so all of a sudden it's 'Oh I'm retired anyway'. What a tit of the highest order this man is.

Spot on.

I've mentioned it on here before but at the start of his career the local news (London Tonight) did a piece on him and it was class. They showed how this black kid from South London had chosen to avoid the path of crime adopted by many of his friends, and had instead taught himself to box. He had a two bed flat at the time, and one of the rooms had been converted into a gym, with wall sized mirrors and a selection of boxing equipment. He was very confident at the time, some might say brash, but it certainly made an impression on me and I followed him a bit after that. Not always the best to watch, but came to fight and was entertaining in and out of the ring. He did show flashes of real talent and hand speed, albeit brief flashes.

I remember seeing him fight at Wembley (about 5 years ago I think) and he had Wright-Phillips Chelsea shirt on, apparently they were friends. Wonder how thats going...

Who knows in which context Small will next appear in the press, other than to say its unlikely to be positive. It seems like the kind of story which is increasingly common these days, although usually away from the public eye until its too late.
