Where is HERBIE "HIDEing" ?

Post by LightCruiser »

What has happened to the "Dancing Destroyer" Herbie Hide.
After he lost to Lithuanian Mendauga Kulikauskas he has disappeared, has he retired ?
I well remember him trash talking "Audrey" (his words not mine!) and "Danny" as both being bums he would dismantle on his way to another world titile.

Imagine if him and Herbie Hide shared a flat, fookin' ell!

Mind you, Herbie would just get knocked out the first time they had an argument, he'd get that flip-top head of his split like a melon, and then Ike would probably try and sleep with his corpse.
Last I heard, Herbie had moved in with Ike, not long after this post as it happens, but that was over a year ago...

The German promoter's Sauerland signed him up to fight Russian giant Nicolai Valuev in July/August. He had a fight on the same bill as Valuev's 3 round win over Etienne against a Russian journeyman by the name of Alex Vassilev and won on points over 8. He was chosen to fight Valuev because he has a good reputation in Germany as he has beaten Hoffman, Schiesser and Schultz in the past

Depends on how the fights going. Seems to mentally cave when somebody puts the hurt on him and then the hugging begins. I remember Manny Steward actually saying Akinwande had the talent to be one of the best heavyweights in the world but he didn't have what it takes mentally.

He will just get KO'd, the 1st time he steps up in class!!!! :TU:

herbie 'curb-crawling spend-a-million-in-a-month-get-knocked-out-by-a-mean-stare' hide is in trouble with the police...again. some glaswegian knocked him out in a pub so herbie acted in a reasonable, controlled, self disciplined manner and got a kitchen knife and went to look for him.

I've heard he's a real smooth stalker, but others have said he's just a lowknife. Herbie should never have been that highly serrated, he was never that sharp, definitely no bernard chopkins. if he wanted a slice of the action, he should have improved his level of chopposition and stepped up to the plate. Fork gods sake, the man had no glass, he belongs in a spoonatic asylum.

What was the reason Hide had to cleave the UK? Did he leave a girlfriend behind, or is he a spatula?
