Derry well done - I thought you were going to win it once you got past Choi. Did you carry a rib injury into the final?

Yeah you looked class Derry, must have been tough going into that final after the dust up with Choi. That last bodyshot from Buckland looked pretty sickening. Best prizefighter yet

Any chance of going back in with Choi one last time? Just for our sake? Go on, you know you want to! I'd definitely buy a ticket!

good performances last night Derry enjoy your well earned cash. I really wanted Choi to win that but fair play for getting back in with him and not being affected by last time. Also a very good performance against McArthur. A great evening's entertainment all in all. Also while I'm on here I just wanna say that fight of yours in Manchester a few years ago against either Foster Jnr or Morris (I can't remember exactly) was a stand out performance in recent times for me. Well done :TU:

Agreed. I thought this was the best Prizefighter ever, every boxer fought their heart out and provided top quality entertainment. Matthews Vs Choi was a classic and settled an old score. Buckland icing Sykes was unexpected to say the least and then taking it to Matthews in the final capped off a top night. Matthews, Buckland and Choi were the stars of the night and will hopefully capitalise on last night's event. Sky should be able to set up title fights, especially Buckland Vs Sykes.

Dont agree it was the best prizefighter ever , i struggled to get into it at times , but i do feel Choi vs Derry Matthews was one of the best if not THE best prizefighter fight ever so far.

What a fight against Choi!! It was swinging one way and then the other. Buckland looked really good though that body shot was class! You boxed real well though Derry good to see your confidence back. This makes Murray's win look better imo

Fair play Derry

Humble and classy as always :TU:

Looking forward to seeing you in some big fights in the new year

Also lot of people mentioning Buckland title shot etc, would he make Super-Feather? Remember prizefighter is 2lbs over the championship limit.

buckland said he was moving down after the murray fight, so dont think hes gonna struggle making super feather he definatly should be made manditory for sykes british title but somehow doubt that will happen and i dont think sykes team will allow buckland to get a voluntry shot am sure if it was up to sykes he would love to fight buckland again

Cheers for a greats nights entertainment, and erasing the memory of last week. Sky should capitalize on a few potential match-ups. It is surely in everyones best interests to capitalize on the exposure.

Well done, Derry. Great to see you back in the ring and on the box. I had a few euros on you and you certainly gave me value for money. Enjoy the Christmas and best of luck for the new year.

I thought it was the best Prizefighter yet, some really quality bouts.

I thought Derry was going to do it after the Choi fight and was kicking myself for not having any money on him. Great shot by Buckland to end it, though, and the right man won IMO.

Thanks for playing your part in a really entertaining night, Derry. It looks like you're back and will be in a few more in the years ahead :TU:

Can someone explain what happened at the end of Round 2 of Derry's first fight (last 25 seconds)? Derry connects, and MacArthur looks in trouble, then the ref calls time out. Why?

Ref had just pulled Derry up for stepping on McArthur's foot just as the punch connected. Don't think the ref actually saw McArthur's reaction to the punch as he was too busy telling Derry off!
