He should be mentioned again for his idiocy during the Pacquiao-Margarito fight for giving Tony an "vision test" in the middle of a round. You do that shit between rounds you shit-nugget, if you wanna check on the eye, then call time and take him to the doctor. It looked like Cole just wanted some dramatic camera time so that should Margarito pull off a hail mary win they'd forever mention how "Cole tested his eyes, and Margarito made a miraculous comeback."

The guy is a piece of moronic shit.

I remember saying to people who were watching that fight with me " What the hell's he doing, you test his vision in between rounds not during". Lawrence Cole seems completely inept and should never be used for anything above a ESPN level fight, and really he shouldn't be used for that either.

It's threads like this where granberry could be at his caustic best.

That guy who banned him has a lot to answer for.

Oh lord yes. Most shameful episode in the history of televised boxing.

I also want to nominate Ernesto Magana for his inept performance refereeing Duran vs Davey Moore.

Thanks for posting this, I remember reading about this at the time and thinking that the writer must have used a little bit of creative licence as it seemed so unbelievable. Well I certainly believe it now, absolutely incredible. Gonzalez should have sued the WBA. I think that ref handled Witherspoon - Bruno from memory.
