Who's going Froch fight then?

Post by TheCobra »

Anyone on here going? After a bit of messing about, I am actually going to this now!

Looking forward to it, but the weather forecast is for ice cold weather all weekend in Helsinki (-10!!!). Would have liked better weather to explore a new place, but anyone else venturing out there, wonder how many english fans will make this trip?

Not planning on it. haha. Think they have like 3 hours of daylight, wish this fight had stayed in Monaco but Helsinki, bit different at least.

I will be going out on Friday morn and get back Monday night, so got a good few days out there. Probably be mostly indoors.

Going home on Sunday. I have been to Helsinki a few times and was in Turku this summer. The Finns
Are cool and they enjoy a good booze up.

Do you know where the Froch fans are going to be boozing in Helsinki? I read on another site that some are planning to go to The Sports Bar which is in the main square - on the right hand side as you exit Central Station. I suppose it isnt a bad choice. There is a good place just off the square - it has a good bar upstairs on top floor, overlooking the city - forget the name - must check with a friend.

I will send you a PM.

Helsinki is a top night out, but expensive.

It`s true boys, believe me. Try to stay half sobre at least until midnight and you should be in with a cracking chance of the birds. The average Finnish male is a sobre beast, who only appears to talk after dowing litres of vodka. Therefore a bit of British charm and wit, will soon see you ball deep in Finnish guts. Trust me.

Isn't it only 3 hours when it's closer to the artic circle and 5 in somewhere like Helsinki? Still a lack of daylight with 5 hours though! I'd only go up that far north for the Northern lights can get back to England fast! :o
