Boxing and Sky tv

Where would boxing be if sky pulled the plug on Tv shows,Would promoters.survive ??????????

There will always be boxing but it would just be on a reduced scale.

Sky are willing to pay a certain amount of money to promoters that other TV station will not match. If Sky withdrew their coverage then promoters and fighters would probably be forced to do their jobs for a lot less money then they are currently being paid.

Whilst there are sports channels, boxing should always have a home

It survived without sky and some would argue that it done better back then now.

imo ppv kills boxing. i also begrudge having to pay a sky sports subscription to watch the boxing then pay ppv fees to watch some of the big fights. Sky and other subscription channels have made boxing a very hard sport to follow.

To watch all the fights, you need the full sky sports package, sky box office, espn and then ppv on primetime.
