You can see AA's made the weight easy, and Froch has really boiled down - nothing new there for Carl though - what does he usually weigh come fight night?

I would have thought well over 175, I reckon as high as 185 he's a huge man, I interviewed him once and he looked like a bloody cruiserweight.

I've always wondered how he makes 168.

Yeah sounds about right James, he'll be looking to make it count you'd think, with AA being much smaller really. It's going to be brutal, I'm still leaning towards AA on this one. No bloody pubs showing it either, none of them have even heard of it. Primetime charging pubs about 200 squid I think

Its criminal that Froch has such a low profile. He's the most entertaining British world champ for some time - I cannot remember him ever being in a dull fight.

This match up is incredible, if this turns out to be a drab affair, I'll be amazed.

Arthur may be smaller, but he's a very powerful man, and an explosive puncher.

Kessler outworked and outfinessed Froch, I think Arthur will outwork and outpunch him, Froch will probably be able to keep him at bay for the first few rounds, but eventually Abraham is going to work his way inside the reach, and that's where Carl's problems start, because he simply doesn't defend well enough.

I just cannot wait for this fight.

Well I would imagine Froch would put on the same. Margarito put on what 15? It seems to be commonplace these days for fighters to come in 15-20 pounds heavier than the weigh in.

AA doesn't look like he's cut loads of water to make weight in that photo though, so I'd be surprised if it was that much for this fight.

I find it very hard to believe that a man as massive as Carl enters the ring weighing 2 pounds heavier than on the scales. It's almost unheard of these days.

I really like watching Froch as well but the fight with Direll was not much fun to watch, neither were the first ten rounds with Taylor. He had some pretty stale fights at domestic level with the like of Matthew Barney too.

Yes, ok maybe a little over effusive in my praise. Lets say he is RARELY in a dull fight. Froch struggles a bit with the cagey guys, and boxers like Taylor. He can get a bit reticent.

However, given an opponent who wants to stand and fight Carl is never shy about getting involved, and you've got to admire that as a fan, if perhaps not his trainer.

He weighs in around 166 / 167 and comes in about 170-172 historically. Whilst he might appear bigger under the light as he fills out a little, in reality he is very lean.

Certainly in Froch's case, weight is but a number. He can be measured as having bigger muscle groups, wrist, fist, height etc but he does not carry any lard at all.
